Applications are open for FAU's January 2015 enrollment date! With just over 4 months until the deadline and 8 months to the start of the program, now seemed like as good a time as any to start a forum to ask questions, relay information, and support possible future classmates.
To start off, I was wondering if any one knew if they normally offer a ABSN program that begins in the Spring. I had only heard of admittance to the Summer semester at the beginning of May.
Best of luck to everyone!
@thatguy777 thanks for the quick reply! I'm not holding my breathe on a reply. I'm sure they are really busy preparing since there are a lot of changes this year. They changed the orientation date on the website to January 8... So I started cancelling ny plane tickets... Then I found out that fingerprints can only be done in FL. I emailed Colleen Slocombe (she sent an email about CPR cert today) as I was told she is in charge of all the background check/immunization/fingerprinting stuff. I might be in FL this weekend for the hrll of it... And that pesky fingerprinting thing. There's that. Haha.
Good luck!
Anybody else get this email?
"An email was sent to you regarding your preliminary acceptance and the necessary steps that now need to be taken in order to fulfill your acceptance. Additionally, you have been asked to reserve the date for orientation. Please carefully read the information that has been sent to you and follow the instructions."
I see no instructions on how to reserve the orientation date! What are we supposed to do?
The designation is updated with certifiedprofile.com! We can now select the Spring 2015 option and continue on with our requirements :)
So if we already made our profile using a different classification, how do we change our classification to Spring 2015? If I make a new order to change that I don't want to have to repay. Does anyone else have the same issue?

@thatguy777 I am currently out of state, but I lived in Boca for two years until February of this year. Im searching craigslist for a roommate, but will probably have to wait until closer to school starts. In Boca you're looking at $900+ for a one bedroom apartment. Campus housing is more expensive than that, but maybe you'd like it. Looking at the regular website for information. I lived in casa del Rio for a while and it is very close to campus (the bicycle club owns them anwo other apartment complexes). Maybr call them and ask. Boynton beach, delray beach, pompano beach, are within 30 min of campus (depending on which part of those cities youre in) on I95. All of these cities are way cheaper to live in, but I want to be closer to campus.
Do you have any info on fingerprinting out of state? They only gave me the option to fingerprint in FL.
