Applications are open for FAU's January 2015 enrollment date! With just over 4 months until the deadline and 8 months to the start of the program, now seemed like as good a time as any to start a forum to ask questions, relay information, and support possible future classmates.
To start off, I was wondering if any one knew if they normally offer a ABSN program that begins in the Spring. I had only heard of admittance to the Summer semester at the beginning of May.
I went in to complete the profile for the background check (on certifiedprofile.com) and there is an option for "classification," but no Spring 2015 option. I emailed on Friday and was told it would be fixed. Not fixed yet... did anyone else complete this already and if so, what classification did you choose?
When I first was completing the profile I put unclassified, but when I went back to finish it I changed it to Fall 2014. Either way I was able to create the profile, but now I am starting to see that some of my To-Do list is saying overdue. Let me know when it changes so I can maybe change mine. There is so much that needs to get done before December 3rd ah!
Debblasko, you may have to wait a bit for scholarship. Since we are only offered preliminary admission, I don't believe we qualify for scholarships and financial aid through FAU yet.

I went to a BLS course today, so exciting, first step!
I'm sure this is somewhat unconventional but I have a request to make of everyone. While I personally am not on the waitlist I truly feel for those who are and how hard it must be to wait even longer while also trying to make plans and living arrangements without a definite spot. So I was hoping if anyone has been accepted or wait listed and is for sure not accepting their spot, if they could notify the school so hopefully the wait listed students can find out ASAP instead of having to wait until December. Thanks everyone!
So does anyone have any idea on where to start looking for housing at? Or campus approved housing? Kind of out of state so wanted to get a jump start on it asap. And any updates on the background check yet?
