Farmingdale State College Spring 2022 Nursing Program

Hi guys, I am currently a student at Farmingdale under the STS major. I plan on applying for the Advanced Standing Nursing Program in Spring 2021. I have not seen a thread for Spring 2021 so thought I would make one. Everyone can write their stats, TEAS scores, GPA, questions, and any concerns about the program on here. Hopefully this helps everyone out!

Ugh, I'm sorry. Don't get discouraged, you will get into a program, it may just take a little longer, or maybe start with an associates program. 

Did you get a letter in the mail? When did you apply? I'm still waiting.

I had 1 bad year in college over 10 year ago, I'm guessing thats the reason they passed on me unless they require higher than 3.7GPA. 

Not feeling very confident I hope all my hard work was not for nothing & get accepted somewhere. 

So odd. My GPA was a 3.7 and was accepted and turned it down.

Thank you ❤️ I applied on Tuesday and got an email last night to check the status update the portal.

Wth, I applied early September. They did update my portal with an enrollment requirement but thats it. So frustrating. I really cant afford it anyway but I wanna know already.

I was surprised but I think it has to do with my one bad college year , long time ago.

May I ask what  your TEAS score because it seems so odd of how fast you got a reply compared to others. Perhaps they were full of applicants and couldn’t accept anymore so they just rejected you. IDK for sure but don’t get discouraged I am rooting for you! Your gonna get into a program and your gonna be a nurse! Your hard work won’t go to waste.

Thank you!! I called them before I submitted the application and they told me they were still accepting applications and they did not require TEAS test so I didn't submit it. I am just upset bc I thought this would be my backup incase Farmingdale didn't work out  

This is my reject letter:

After thorough evaluation of your academic credentials, I regret to inform you that you are not eligible for acceptance into Molloy College at this time.

The increase in competition for admission to Molloy’s Programs makes the task of selecting candidates difficult.  Applicants are chosen based on their prior academic performance and must meet the criteria for acceptance to the college as well as to the program of their choice.

These nursing programs are becoming seriously competitive. Hopefully you get into Farmingdale’s and have you applied to Adelphi’s Nursing Program? Definitely apply to Adelphi as well.

Has anyone received a reply from Adelphi yet? I finished my application a few days ago and they said you have to wait around 4 weeks. But as anyone gotten there decision yet when they applied earlier?

Praying for decisions this week. When I called Friday they told me the board meets on the weekends and we should know in next 2 weeks depending how fast they move.
