I'm not sure... but I'm a worry wart so I went ahead and paid. IT DOESN'T WORK. Lol, it said my ID couldn't be found and to contact my orientation instructor. I'm sure I just wasted $50, but I was worried if I didn't at least do that then something would be held up. ?

Oh jeez, you should try and get your money back! That's not fair to tell us we have to do orientation and then it doesn't even work.

based on what i spoke to them about the orientation is 110 on campus? i'm not sure if this is correct information but i'm going to pay it Friday. as for the uniforms i'm going to look into that now also. thank you!

Is the 110$ for orientation different than the 100$ tuition deposit??

Did that information come from the nursing department or admissions? If we have to pay $110 for orientation where do we pay that? A few people here got emails about the Dec 5th orientation. Did that specify paying before attending? The online orientation is $50 I am curious about what is $110. I am wondering if the Dec 5th orientation is $110 and we do not need the online one or is that the combination of the two. Instructions unclear, me confused ?

I don’t know where the 110$ is coming from. I paid the 100$ tuition deposit. Maybe someone just mistyped 110$ instead of 100$ for the tuition deposit. Not sure. But the email for orientation did not say anything about paying for orientation.

There's an orientation on campus that you pay for if you've never been to farmingdale before. There's an online one for transfer students but like someone said in the comments it doesn't work. I'll be honest I didn't attend any orientation when I went for undergrad and I wasn't penalized or anything so I don't think the general orientation is that big of a deal. I guess it's just to show you around campus and explain how college is and meal plans etc. I never went did mine because I didn't want to pay to take an online orientation.

I haven't gotten the email regarding the orientation for the nursing program specifically, yet but I'm assuming we don't pay for that. For those who have, did it mention paying for orientation at all?

So I guess the general orientation is not mandatory right? Not gonna waste my money if I don’t have to Do it.

the email about the nursing orientation did not say we had to pay for it

in the nursing packet we recieved it says on the right hand side register for orientation and pay 110$. i am going to call them today to see if we have to pay to attend the dec 5th one.

so i just called disregard the top post of mine, the guy told me its free the nursing orientation we will get all the info we need how to orde scrubs, make a schedule, different clinical sites and basically we all get the same pin at the same time to register for non nursing classes if needed.

I’m gonna email the nursing department

I just transferred into farmingdale this semester, originally for their nutrition science program. The admissions packet I received for that was basically the same. I researched on their homepage a bit and it does say that transfers only have to do the online orientation. I never even ended up doing the online one and have yet to receive any repercussions for not doing it. I would say wait until the Nursing orientation and find out exactly what needs to be done from them.
