How did you pay your 100$ deposit? It's showing I have no balance to pay, not sure if I'm I'm the right spot or not.

I paid the deposit then they refunded it back to my account. I think because I am already a student, I don't have to pay. ?‍♀️

@WuTangLan oh damn that's nice.

Do we know when the day to register for classes is yet? I feel like the acceptance packet didn't really give much information besides the physical form and housing.

Did u register for orientation??

you register for classes at orientation.

I emailed nursing info and they said we should be getting an email soon, probably this week. So I'm assuming the email will have more information about registration and other things we need to know.

Okay thank you. I just feel like we haven't been told much about the process.

No problem! And I know I agree I was hoping the acceptance package would have some information but it unfortunately didn't.

I just got my packet!!! ?

Hey guys, congrats everyone on getting accepted! Seems like yesterday that I was in your shoes, seeing my acceptance on Oasis and getting my packet in the mail. Don't get too much anxiety about the registration process. Just go to orientation day and they will explain everything and walk you through everything you need to know. Catsweeney explained the process succinctly on page 6, and that process happens at orientation. One word of advice I would give is to take care of all your medical clearings like titers, PPD, etc sooner than later as these things can take time. Good luck in your first semester!

I went online to pay my tuition deposit, but I see a zero balance. Should I go ahead and make a $100 deposit anyhow? I sent an e-mail over the weekend, so hoping I get a response today or tomorrow. I want to make sure I get started on everything sooner rather than later.

So registration is done on paper. You can pick either A or B schedule and you can’t move your classes around based on that. Once you decide if you want cohort A or B you write on the paper your 1st 2nd and 3rd choice for clinical. By the end of that week everyone is registered for classes and you can check on oasis. But each section A and B has their own options. For example (this may not be your choices I’m just using it as an example); cohort A may only have the choice between plainview, stony brook, and st. Joes, and cohort B will only have the choice between Winthrop, manhasset, and south Nassau. So if you really wanted let’s say manhasset, you would have to choose cohort B. But if you really needed cohort A’s schedule, you would only be able to choose between plainview, stony brook and st. Joes.
There’s also a DEU program in which you write an essay at a later date (they explain this all at orientation) but you stay at that hospital the entire 3 years of school for clinical. I didn’t want to do the DEU because I currently work at a hospital and want to see multiple places but they will go over that too.
The first semester is the only one that is like this. After the first semester, you can pick whichever time and clinical you would like.
I hope this explains things clearly.

so we register for classes at orientation and we also have to pay to go to orientation which is 110? i believe. its based on the hospital you pick what classes or schedule you get which kind of sucks. but hey congrats to all of us. i was wondering do we get a handbook and maybe things we need to wear to clinical's like certain scrubs and stuff. it would be nice to know before hand to get everything situated for when we start!
