Farmingdale Spring 2020

Hi everyone!

I am applying to the Advanced Standing Nursing Program at Farmingdale for Spring 2020. Just wanted to see if there is anyone else out there applying. If you would like to share your grades, feel free! Good luck to everyone! ??‍⚕️

Prerequisite GPA: 4.0

GPA: 3.67

TEAS: 82.7

The handbook is on Blackboard under organizations. The uniforms come from Flynn & O'Haras.

Sorry to be a pain but I just want to make sure everything is right: has anyone signed up for orientation yet and if so can you post the link for it? I don't want to sign up for the wrong one or do something wrong.

I didn't sign up for orientation. FSC_nursing Instagram page posted that orientation will be on December 5th at 11 am-2 pm in Roosevelt Hall 111

I just looked at the packet. I am not doing that orientation, the online one. I paid for that when I came to college last year, and it never worked. I asked on the Instagram page if we have to sign up for the Dec 5th orientation. I am thinking they will be sending an email soon.

From the Instagram page, "you should have received an email to RSVP to the orientation, if you didn’t you might be getting it soon. But if you’d like you can send an email to [email protected] to confirm and we will mark you down. ?"

you have to register for orientation in your student portal.
you have to click into advisement and registration information and it gives you a link to register

Was it an online orientation? I don't have access to the "Accepted Student Portal". I think because I am already a student.

I got an email today saying that orientation is Thursday December 5th in Roosevelt Hall.

I couldn't get into the accepted student portal either. I went to farmingdale for my undergrade and just graduated this past may. I never attended any orientation when I started there honestly.

I think its relatively new the online orientation. It never worked, so I never did it. ?‍♀️

So what I understand is the online orientation is if you’re a new student to the campus, the dec 5th orientation is just for nursing. Hopefully everyone gets an email soon!

I never knew about the student portal until Someone told me about it that got accepted too. When you go to farmingdale website, click admissions on top and then click on accepted students on the left. Then you can click on student portal on that page. I don’t know if works for students that are brand new are current students also. But try it. Everything on the student portal is what came in the packet we got in the mail.

So do we have to pay the 50$ for the online orientation if it doesn’t work??

I'm not sure... but I'm a worry wart so I went ahead and paid. IT DOESN'T WORK. Lol, it said my ID couldn't be found and to contact my orientation instructor. I'm sure I just wasted $50, but I was worried if I didn't at least do that then something would be held up. ?
