Hi everyone! My parents and my boyfriend and I are planning on moving to the Phoenix, AZ area in a few years from Chicago, IL and we're very excited! My Mom has an active RN license and has been practicing since the late 70's, My boyfriend is an LPN, and I am an LPN but plan on moving there after I finish RN school. Just wanted to know what will be the process for reciprocity when we all move there. I've visited the Arizona Board of Nursing website but couldn't really find any info. Any help or advice is much appreciated.

-Thanks

i believe that to which you refer is endorsement.....go back to the website and simply check for "how to obtain lic." or some such.....also, if you dont plan on practicing in your present location, simply test for the state of arizona....

"The National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) is a standardized exam that each state board of nursing uses to determine whether or not a candidate is prepared for entry-level nursing practice."

The tests are therefore the SAME. Each State may have their own requirements for a RN, but that's in addition to the NCLEX-RN.

Take it for what it's worth as I'm still in NS, but I would keep doing what you're doing and take the NCLEX where you went to school and THEN ask for reciprocity - this is the advise I was given by my instructors.
