Anyone applying to WesternU's MSN-E program? If so, do you know when they will start the interview process? What they look for in their applicants (gpa, extracurricular, etc)?

I called after I got my letter, I think that they are being bombarded with calls, Weas, you should definitely call. They were really helpful when I called about being on the alternate list. I was really glad to hear that there is no ordered list, rather the committee gets together and decides what names to give the admissions department based on the number of slots available.

Yes, how were you able to? I am referring to the banweb for "alumni, employee, and student" not the one where you apply for admissions. Thanks!

Yes, the one under the student tab tells me that I have an invalid login. try this link:

I got into my account there, but my status is the only thing I can get to and it still says, complete and ready to process

ilnurse: so by the 28th, we will know for sure how many students decline right? maybe that will give us a number as to how many students they will accept off the alternate list?

i read on here that Western accepted 60 students and placed 60 students on the alternate list. does anyone know for sure to confirm this?

Tweety, this is correct as far as the number of students accepted and the alternates go.

When I asked about dates in terms of people needed to deposit or send in their decline letters I was told that they have until next Friday or so and then admissions will give the number of slots available, say "X", and then the committee will meet and decide on "X" names to give them and then they will continue to meet and give more names as they are needed. But if you think about it, it makes perfect sense to wait until after the first deadline to accept passes, i'm sure they have several responses back already, but waiting until they know for sure allows the committee to only meet this once and decided on "X" names rather than meeting every week or so to give one or two names here and there.

Hopefully we won't have to wait much past the first week or so of April and we all get good news!
