I just called admissions & they said they are still waiting on the full list of accepted, we can feel safe even if we don't hear back by the end of this week. This is such a bad feeling for me. I applied to two programs & didn't get accepted to one so this is my last chance for the year :cry:

Thanks Weas, you just saved me a panicked phone call. I would really hate to have to watch everyone get an email and the wait a week or longer to get denied.

weas, what does waiting on the full list of accepted mean? waiting to send emails by alphabetical order in small batches? i got denied from two schools already even after interviews i feel so bummed out....

sugarplum... don't feel bummed out.. just know that there are sooo many people who applied... half got interviewed and a quarter gets accepted. At least you made it halfway =)

I know it's easier said then done... I try to keep telling myself that if I don't get accepted... Think positive!!!

Actually it looks like more than a quater gets accepted in this case, 144 interviewed and approximately 60 get accepted. it's more like 40% get accepted. Which is much better Odds, for me anyways, my other programs had hundreds and one program only took 20! I'm sending good JuJu to everyone!

i feel like they send all the emails at ONCE so i guess i'm rejected/waitlisted....does any1 know how they send the emails?

I actually just talked to Jacob (i believe he's an admissions counselor) and he said that not all the acceptances have gone out yet. He said that it could take up to two weeks! He also said they haven't received all the names yet! :) keeping fingers crossed!

Yes, but I'm considering accepting SMU - ELMSN CM track.

Sugarplum - yes it was to western. I received the email around 9:30am Socal time. The subject of the email said, MSNE Accept. I was on the alternate list last year but obviously didn't get in. Don't lose hope though! I have a feeling they will be going deep into their alternate list because they sent out their acceptance so late compared to other schools. So if you dont get accepted and get alternate status, I'm sure you will have a good shot at getting in!! Stay positive!

sky, i wonder if he's just saying that to try to keep people sane at such an anxious time!! obviously postal mail for waitlisted/denied will take awhile, of course... that obviously will take up to weeks. can you please ask if all emails for accepted people have already been sent earlier? i think that is a more forward question. do you know what is implied by "they haven't received all the names yet"? i wonder how that is possible. but yeah, thanks for the heads up.
