Fall 2016 Wake Tech Applicants

Hey Everyone,

I'm not new to this site, just new to actually joining and posting my own story since I myself am finally able to began the application process of applying to Wake Tech next Fall. Anyone else out there applying?

Even though I knew there would be alternates with higher scores than my 156, finally seeing the first person with one of those scores has set my nerves off...I'm so anxious and worried about tomorrow now. To really want something this bad and be so close and still possibly not getting it is so hard!

Do they give the blackboard stuff to everyone including alternates?

I think I am still an alternate because I haven't heard otherwise and it is on my blackboard. Even if you are not taking any classes at waketech you should still be able to log on to blackboard. The username and password should be the same as your other accounts.

They won't tell you before orientation if you're in, it will just tell you in your folder. I'd be surprised if you didn't have Now Accepted in your folder...last fall they had two like that and the one I know who got it was one point shy like you are! Thanks for the info!

That would be amazing. This is so stressful. You are very close with your points as well. I am sure you'll be at the very top of the list! And no problem :)

Yes even alternates get access to the blackboard site!

Well I am alternate 14 so it doesn't look good

I'd say that's pretty safe! Last semester the week after orientation is when I moved up at least 10 points. See how many people didn't pick up their folders at the end because those people typically loose their seats unless they pre arranged to not be there. I think your in for sure :up:

They didn't mention how many people didn't show today, but it didn't look like there were many left. She said we probably won't hear anything/they won't accept any alternates until after Spring semester ends...so I probably won't know anything for a while. I hate that I'm 14....do you remember what your original number was and what you moved to? I know you said you moved up 10 places in a week, but how much did you move total?

Apereogy, please please please remain more then prayerful and hopeful. You've seen how things can turn around for the better when it comes to alternates. Before the summer begins I'm sure you'll have two schools to choose from Wake Tech and the other school you're waiting on!
