Fall 2011 UT Houston Health Sciences hopefuls

I am a ut houston hopeful applying for the pacesetter and traditional programs for fall 2011! I will be done with my pre-req's: engl 1302 and hist 1302 this spring 2011. I plan on taking the hesi the beginning of December since the deadline for ut-houston has been changed to Jan 15. 2011. I wish everybody good luck as were getting down to the wire!!1 Anyone else out there?

Hi everyone I was wondering if you'll knew if UT Houston has accepted everyone they are going to accept for Fall 2011, or if they are rejecting people and accepting people a little at a time. I only ask this because I received a rejection letter last Saturday that was not addressed to me on the inside. My name and address was printed on the envelope, but the rejection letter was addressed to a different girl from Baytown, TX, not anywhere near me. I then checked UTLink and the status of my application still says Pending.., and it doesn't say that I no longer have an application on file. I called UT Houston on Monday and was informed that it must have been a mistake and that it actually was common and to disregard the letter. They said they were going to resend all of the letters because of it, which made no sense seeing as some people were going to receive two rejection letters and two acceptance letters. I still haven't received a letter so I called again today because I was worried and all I was told was that not all letters have been sent out but that I should receive one by April 15th and to not worry until after that date. I was wondering if those of you who received rejection letters also have an updated UTLink that says you no longer have an application on file. Thanks so much for everyone's information on this website, it has been so helpful! Also, congrats to those who are already accepted!!

Hey this goes out to everyone who wants to be a nurse:

It's scary and can make you feel crazy waiting and waiting to see...trying not to get your hopes up.

But let me tell you something~ if your dream is to become a nurse: DON'T LET ANYTHING OR ANYONE STOP YOU!! especially yourself because of discouragement or fear of continual rejection. Any successful person knows that in order to succeed you have to try and try until you get it. We can all do it! Whether it be with UTHSC Fall 2011 or 2 years from now! Don't give up or get discouraged. I know that everything happens for a reason and God has a plan for each of us. He wants us to be happy and if we work hard we will receive our greatest (and righteous) desires. I see that in my life all the time, just thought I would throw this out there to anyone feeling discouraged or scared. You are loved and supported!!

I got provisional acceptance for fall 2011! I am super excited because I had applied for Spring 2011 and went for an interview but didn't get accepted. I was worried I wasn't going to get accepted this semester because I never got a letter about going for an interview and then I was way surprised when I randomly checked UT Link yesterday and it showed provisional acceptance. I am way excited!

Who all applied to Texas A&M HSC and got into UT houston and is going to UT houston for sure?

I applied for A&M and I started filling out the supplemental application information (I received an email Friday about it) and because I got that I randomly checked my UT Link and it showed provisional acceptance so I don't think I am going to pay the $45 for the background check and the $50 for the supplemental application fee because I would rather go to UT anyway. I already have a BA in English Lit from TAMU and I would have loved to go there again but it just isn't the best option for me.

I was interviewed Spring 2011. I was so sure about getting in as my interview went really well last semester. This semester I was not even expecting to see my status would change. That's why I was not regular at allnurses like I used to be last year and found out yesterday about the change. So just believe in me I have been through this and stay focus. Do not Give Up! "Determination is the key to success."

I had the same thing. I had applied for Spring 2011 and the interviewer told me my interview went great and that I would be a really good candidate for the program and so I sure I would get in and I didn't. I had them carry my application over for fall but was discouraged when I never heard any news other than them resending my UT link information. I was surprised when I randomly checked Friday and it showed provisional acceptance! I still can't believe it really happened!

When I didn't get in last semester my status never changed from "Pending status will be updated upon admissions committee decision."

Congrats to everyone who has been receiving acceptances through UT Link!!! I received a huge envelope in my mailbox Saturday.... so shaken, excited, nervous, I tore open the envelope only to find another transcript evaluation. Whomp Whomp. LOL Something is better than nothing though. I was wondering if anyone else received the same thing? I can't wait for us to all get the actual letters!!!! Patience is a virtue :)

I am waiting on my rejection letter. My status still says pending, but I know I wasn't going to get in.
