Hey everyone! I applied to UT houston and I'm waiting to hear if I got an interview. Applicants for years in the past started threads that everyone went to and kept everyone updated on information from the school, and it's nice to hear from possible (fingers crossed) other future classmates. If you don't mind, I'd also like to post our application info: GPA (science and overall), NET scores and experience.
My stats:
Overall GPA: 3.93
Science GPA: 3.75 (I think- UT link is down today :wink2:
NET: composite score was 88% (96 percentile)
I'm currently employed as a CNA in a hospital (only have about a month experience so far)
I haven't gotten an interview letter yet and that makes me VERY nervous!! My overall and nursing GPA is 3.72 and science is 4.0..my NET was 80 something...I hope to hear something soon or my mailman might get a restraining order for stalking him!!
Generic! Is it too early?? I went to the information session back in September and I thought they said interviews would be in February. BTW, are interviews held on the weekends??
I'm still waiting for a letter too! I applied to the accelerated program (but they consider you for the generic one too) and have had my application in since October as well (I took the NET Oct 20, I think) And I have pretty good stats so I'm just waiting to hear! They say they just do interviews in batches and up until March so I'm just wondering how they pick the order of interviews. Good luck and hope you get an interview soon!
I applied to the GENERIC BSN Fall 2009 Program. Im just confuse whether the people got the interview letters for the Accelerated Program or the GENERIC Program???
Im looking for people who got the interview letter for the GENERIC Program. When did you get it? and when is your interview?

Don't worry yet! I am in the same situation and from what I can tell, most people with interviews were for the accelerated program! I haven't received an interview letter either!! Good luck to you and try not to worry, it won't get you in any faster!!
I haven't received an interview letter for UT-Houston. I applied for the generic fall 2009 program a couple weeks before the deadline, and they extended the deadline a little because they were having trouble getting electronic transcripts. They have all the information now, and I'm waiting for the letter. I'm also waiting for UTMB to let me know if I qualify for an interview for the UTMB Summer 2009 generic (which starts May 4!!).....UTMB is running a little behind in the process (due to hurricane, etc). I'm surprised UT-Houston is already sending out interview letters for the fall. It makes me nervous. Hopefully I hear something soon. I will let you know!
I received my letter for the Accelerated BSN program on the 26th, and interviewed on the 28th of last week. I'm glad its out of the way. I also applied to the generic just in case. I have heard that the accelerated applicants should find out in mid february-march.
Finally my GPA was listed on the utlink. Nursing Prerequiste gpa is 3.75 something and science was 3.333. Im kinda nervous about my science but I did manage to get a 90% on the Net Exam. I applied late (December) so still waiting nervously for any letter in the mail for Fall 2009 interview. Hopefully being a guy gives me an advantage:rolleyes:
