Fall 2009 UT Houston BSN Applicants

Hey everyone! I applied to UT houston and I'm waiting to hear if I got an interview. Applicants for years in the past started threads that everyone went to and kept everyone updated on information from the school, and it's nice to hear from possible (fingers crossed) other future classmates. If you don't mind, I'd also like to post our application info: GPA (science and overall), NET scores and experience.

My stats:

Overall GPA: 3.93

Science GPA: 3.75 (I think- UT link is down today :wink2:

NET: composite score was 88% (96 percentile)

I'm currently employed as a CNA in a hospital (only have about a month experience so far)

Hey I needed to know if these are competitive GPA's for the UT-Acccel. BSN program I just interviewed for. Also, I am hoping being a guy will help me out a little as well

Nursing prerequisites gpa 3.442

Science prerequisites gpa 3.705

Undergraduate gpa 3.16

NET Score: 85%

I am trying for the generic program and I think that was the program they were referring to but I'm not positive (it was back in the fall semester when I attended the info session). Sorry & Good luck!

Cailex, I applied to the BSN GENERIC for FALL of 09 so I think the letter for interview is still early. Unless I'm wrong but did you get yours yet?

I received an interview letter last week. My interview is on Feb. 4th. I submitted my application pretty early though and my last name starts with B so that may have something to do with it.

I see, may i ask what month you applied. I applied in December

I paid the application fee I think in October or November? Then I submitted updated transcripts once my grades were posted from the fall 08 semester. I took the NET on Nov. 15th, so they received my score probably a week or two after that. In past years they interviewed all the way into March so it still is really early.

I just got my interview letter last thursday (1/29) and it isn't until mid feb! I'm very nervous because I only applied to one place (like a dummy), but hope that being in the air force rotc will push me over. My grades are great undergrad 3.1, nursing 3.675 and science 4.0, my net score was 89, but I only have experience with animals! What do ya'll think?

hnhoang- I applied to the generic BSN. enm14- I don't have a bsn yet so I can't really offer any info- sorry.

futureafnurse- I think your grades sound good... Good luck on your interview and let us know how it goes!
