Hey everyone! I applied to UT houston and I'm waiting to hear if I got an interview. Applicants for years in the past started threads that everyone went to and kept everyone updated on information from the school, and it's nice to hear from possible (fingers crossed) other future classmates. If you don't mind, I'd also like to post our application info: GPA (science and overall), NET scores and experience.
My stats:
Overall GPA: 3.93
Science GPA: 3.75 (I think- UT link is down today :wink2:
NET: composite score was 88% (96 percentile)
I'm currently employed as a CNA in a hospital (only have about a month experience so far)
Goodluck and hopefully I get some replies!

I just had my UT -Accelerated interview yesterday. It was roughly 4 hours long since I was the second to the last that they interviewed for the day out of about 15 people. The first hour they gave you a couple questionairres to complete regarding your computer-tech skills, as well as a writing sample topic, and a hypothetical nursing class schedule for the 1st two months of class including assignments and exams on a weekly basis. You also had to write a sample on how you would manage your time for this schedule, and be prepared to discuss it in the actual interview. The actual interview went pretty smoothly although each person only interviewed with 2 faculty staff simultaneously, lasting about 15-20 minutes. Mine was roughly 20-25 minutes total with two faculty BSN's. They asked the usual, regarding your experience from your resume, why you wanted to be a nurse and part of their program, etc... They said that they start sending out acceptance letters for the Accelerated BSN around March'ish. Oh and also....I found out that the majority of the BSN-Accel is done via online from your computer at home, and the only time you go the actual campus is for didatics, and lab assesments + clinicals. Interesting huh? Well hope all of you guys' interviews goes well for you, let me know! :)
I had my interview for the accelerated program yesterday as well. Se7en14 pretty much covered everything that you need to know to better prepare yourself. The only difference is that I interviewed with only 1 faculty member, not two. I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not?! Se7en14, do you mind telling me who you interviewed with (maybe in a private message)? Can you remember the specific questions that you were asked? Good luck everyone!
