Hi all!
Thought I would start a thread for the fall semester! Anyone who wants to share their stats or anything about the application process can post them here! My stats as of now...
Pre-nursing GPA: 3.54
Science GPA: 3.67
HESI: 87.7
Pretty worried that my stats aren't good enough. Scored low on the A&P section of the HESI (80%) but made an A in the class...hoping maybe that will help even it out? I get discourage when I read through the other threads and see people get rejected with 4.0 GPA's and 90s on the HESI. I do have 80 volunteering hours at a children's hospital but I doubt that would help me enough.
For the rest of us (a festivus):Things to do while you wait to find out if you were accepted, denied or waitlisted:
1. Re-calculate, by hand, your entire academic GPA to find out "where you went wrong."
2. Throw up some. (emesis)
3. Review UTHSC website to look for admissions loopholes.
4. Resign to the idea that you have not been accepted, and within minutes change your mind because you have not been denied yet.
5. Watch Prison Nurse (1938) to try to placate your nervousness.
6. Clean up from number 2.
7. Regain hope that in the past 2 minutes someone has posted new information on this forum that means Admissions are not finished sending out acceptance notifications.
8. Mix cachaca, lime and sugar. Ingest.
9. Check the MyUTH portal, again.
10. Count the number of W's on your academic history and wonder out-loud to co-workers if this withdrawal component is valid.
11. Remember that this is not easy, and it may take multiple attempts and that is OK. (but is it really ok?)
Hahahahahahahahaha I absolutely love this. Even if I don't get in this comment was completely worth all the months of pain and suffering I've experienced up until this point waiting for a denial. Haha
I keep checking my e-mail every 30 minutes but I will be honest; I am slowly losing hope. I know this isn't the end of the world but it just would've been nice to have so answers or receive a decision. Still keeping my fingers crossed!!
It's okay Pearl2020. If not this semester then next semester :)
Nothing so far on my end guys. I just got off a 4 hour plane ride and I am still checking my email HAHA this is killing me inside.........I will continue to check it like a crazy person.
This is my 2nd try. I was waitlisted for summer then denied officially 20 days before the summer program started if anyone was curious. Fall is definitely more competitive.
