  1. I understand! I had to figure everything out myself but luckily knew someone who went to UTH so feel free to ask me anything :) First thing you need to do is make an account on Elsevier. This allows you to 1). Take the test because they are the ones who create the HESI. 2). Receive your scores and send them to schools you are applying to. Certain places actually give you your scores after you take the exam but if they don't it's ok. Your scores will be uploaded to your account on Elsevier. Signing up for the HESI is different at places. I registered at Lone Star because they had dates available for this month and it only costs $35. I actually take the HESI tomorrow so wish me luck! Once my scores are on my account then I have to send them to UT. I had originally signed up at a testing center by using UT'S school code but spending $100 was so not worth it.
  2. You can take the HESI wherever regardless if you use UT's school code or not. You do not have to sign up using Elsevier to take the exam but you have to make an account on there in order to receive your scores and send them to the schools you are applying to. For example, I am taking the HESI at Lone Star and will send my scores to the school once I receive them.
  3. Hi! I also plan on applying and extremely nervous too. I take the HESI a2 in a few weeks so fingers crossed I get the score I need! My stats so far: PreReq: 3.8 Science:4.0 Overall:3.6 No medical experience
  4. If you retake a pre-req course then the highest grade is calculated into your pre-req gpa, science gpa, and overall. If the course is NOT a pre-req and you have taken it more than once then both attempts are factored into the overall gpa.
  5. Take your time! I couldn't imagine doing both classes at once
  6. AMAZING scores!!! I'm interested in what you used for both tests as well if you don't mind sharing
  7. Hi yall! Do yall happen to know if I can still use the UT code to register for the HESI if I plan on taking it during the summer? When I log on to Elsevier and click on register for distance testing, it asks for the school's code. However when I enter it the only options for taking the HESI are "HESI A2 V1: 01/01/17- 3/31/17" and "HESI A2 V2: 01/01/17-3/31/17".
