Thought I would start a thread for the fall semester! Anyone who wants to share their stats or anything about the application process can post them here! My stats as of now...
Pre-nursing GPA: 3.54
Science GPA: 3.67
HESI: 87.7
Pretty worried that my stats aren't good enough. Scored low on the A&P section of the HESI (80%) but made an A in the class...hoping maybe that will help even it out? I get discourage when I read through the other threads and see people get rejected with 4.0 GPA's and 90s on the HESI. I do have 80 volunteering hours at a children's hospital but I doubt that would help me enough.
Ok so I did not consider the separate lecture/lab portions for the chemistry class. I've taken all of mine at lonestar and your lecture and lab grades are not separate. If your chem is 3 hours for lecture with a 'B' and 1 hour for lab with an 'A', then that calculates to a 3.81

Haha! So the the reason why I counted them as separate is because I took them as two separate classes. You could be right though. They may not count them as separate. I originally took Chemistry for my Undergraduate degree for a non science major. Then I went back and took the lab separately cause I knew I would need it. So I thought they may be considered different classes (or seperate grades) because they were different teachers etc. etc. Does that make sense? Lol. I dunno. I truly have NO idea. Like Mermaid_ said ... I'm sure they have their own criteria that we are totally unaware of.
My friend got in with a cumulative 3.2 GPA (graduated last year) and her friend got denied with a 4.0. So I truly have no clue what they are looking for. And from what I understand there are TONS of applicants this semester so ... luck of the draw? Lol
I don't believe so. I went through the feeds for Fall 2015 and Fall 2016 over the weekend and it looks like their application deadline was January 15 whereas ours was March 15. They didn't get responses until the beginning of April (hence why the website said April at one point in time) during those applications periods so I think it'll be a little while until we hear back Praying we don't have to wait until June though!
Has UTHSC rolled out admission results for anyone?

This isnt entirely true. Summer registration this year had a deadline of January 15 amd first acceptances went out February 24th, so pretty much one month and one week. They do almost always roll out on a Friday though so I would not be surprised to see them hit April 21st or 28th...somewhere around there. May take longer because of the larger applicant pool compared to Summer, but I dont see them waiting THAT long for the first wave. Waitlists and denials notwithstanding.
Right, I totally think the decisions could come out sooner! I was just observing the Fall admission trends. I understand other semesters such as Spring and most definitely Summer differ bc of applicant pool numbers. The dates the Fall admission decisions for those 2 semesters I mentioned started to come out on Tuesdays (4/7/15 & 4/12/16) when they had the January 15 application deadline. Not sure that'll be the case for this Fall but maybe?? I dunno. All the programs I've applied to for this Fall have been unpredictable with when they respond lol. Like you, I'm hoping with my fingers & toes crossed it's a lot sooner!

I also forgot that UT has acknowledged the fact that their admission process is lacking and has "updated"-their word, not mine-their admissions. Lets also not forget that this is UT after all, so it could be tomorrow, or August. Neither would surprise me.
