Applied to UIC's Fall 2021 graduate entry program. Would love to meet others who are also going through the process and share any updates. Good luck!

To answer some of your questions:

If you filled out that Google Doc to express interest in a scholarship from UIC, you should be finding out about those in July.

In May, we should get some preorientation activities to do. We can register for the June orientation on May 23, 2021.

If you login to your UIC portal (login.uic.edu) and click on the tabs for "Incoming Students - My Progress", you can see the items that need to be completed for incoming students.

You can also refer to the "New Student Mandatory Compliance Guide" that ------------------ sent out a few weeks ago! I hope this helps ?

Hello everyone! Congratulations to those who have been admitted! 

I was wondering if anyone has any insight on how the waitlist works?

I've read that they are able to keep the waitlist until the first day of classes and wanted to see if anyone has been admitted from the waitlist yet and how that looks like?

Hi there! I have also been waitlisted and haven't heard back yet either. Based on previous threads for this program, most people heard around mid to late May. 

Did your application status change by any chance? My status never changed to waitlisted and I just want to make sure my acceptance on the waitlist was received.

Thank you! My application status hasn't changed. It still says "complete, under review with the department". 

Also, I'm wondering since I'm finishing up my anatomy courses for Spring 2021 if that affected my application in any way. I will continue to give any updates I have!

No problem! I will definitely update here on my end as well. I'm assuming we won't get a status update until after the 30th since that's when I believe our waitlist response is due. 

As for your situation, I don't think your pending courses affected your application since they still allowed applicants to apply without having all prereqs completed. Just as long as they're completed before the Fall. But don't lose hope on getting in!!

Yes, we got this I believe in us! Have you applied to any other programs?

Yes, I have applied to a few other programs, but unfortunately did not get in. So hopefully I get some good news from UIC in a couple weeks ?

There should be some spots opening up for the program! I was accepted, but declined UIC's offer to attend another university. Best of luck to everyone waiting to hear back about the waitlist ?

Hi everyone, I just wanted to update that I got an admission acceptance email earlier today 5/6 from Jon and my status is now updated to "additional review required". Thank you guys for sending encouraging messages. I just joined the FB group and I look forward to meeting you all!

Thanks for the update and congrats on getting in!! :) I still haven't gotten anything yet, but hopefully I hear back soon too
