Hi! To answer some of your questions: If you filled out that Google Doc to express interest in a scholarship from UIC, you should be finding out about those in July. In May, we should get some preorientation activities to do. We can register for the June orientation on May 23, 2021. If you login to your UIC portal (login.uic.edu) and click on the tabs for "Incoming Students - My Progress", you can see the items that need to be completed for incoming students. You can also refer to the "New Student Mandatory Compliance Guide" that ------------------ sent out a few weeks ago! I hope this helps ?

I created a facebook group for the MENP class of 2023: https://www.facebook.com/groups/267372144973311 Feel free to join even if you are still waiting on decisions from other schools or haven't heard back from DePaul yet. The group is private (just so that random people aren't joining in), but if you request to join, I will approve the request. Hi! I spoke with the financial aid office on Zoom yesterday and they were super helpful! Apparently, FAFSA doesn't automatically distribute loans for Summer because most academic programs don't have mandatory Summer terms (ie business or law programs). We will get an email next April about whether you need financial aid for Summer, and if you do, you would get the same amount that you would get for any other quarter. The financial aid office has drop-in Zoom meetings so you can speak with someone anytime a question comes up!

In my opinion, the biggest differences in the programs are the clinicals. It is super convenient that all of the Rush clinical rotations are through the Rush University System (much less to think about in terms of clinical planning and less traveling). However, through DePaul, you would get a much wider variety of experiences with different hospitals and different hospital systems (although you might get your second choice instead of your top choice for some clinical rotations). You should also think about where you want to work after graduation (whether you would prefer to work at Rush or at another hospital system). You have two wonderful options- you just need to decide what kind of clinical experience would best fit your academic and professional goals ?
