Fall 2018 Tarrant County College ADN program

Nursing Students School Programs

Hey guys 💜 just wanted to open a thread for Fall 2018 applicants at Tarrant County College ADN program! I know application cycle isn't open for about another month but I saw a few comments on the Spring 17 thread and thought we could have our own thread already!

I'm applying with the following:

A&P I: B

A&P II: A

Micro: A

HESI: 94.5

I can't wait to "meet" some of you on here and I've got my fingers crossed for all of us!

Do you have some information regarding the fast track program?

Unfortunately no, I'm in regular track. Sorry.

Hi everyone!! Really happy I found this thread, I started freaking myself out looking at the years previous threads and helps to know I'm not the only one. I'm applying for fall '18.

A&P 1: A

A&P 2: A

Micro: A

HESI A2: 91.5

I was rethinking of taking the HESI over again but honestly think I would just score lower.

Does anyone know if we'll need to get the flu shot for the immunizations as well?

You don't need to retake the hesi you will get in 100%

Thank you BubbyBoogs! I'm going to try and not over think until after April.

I wouldn't get the flu shot just yet. I don't think in the instructions it shows you need to get it until right before starting the program?

Clinicals are once a week. For the first semester it is 630 am to 330 pm. Second semester would be 12 hrs once a week. I am a current student so if y'all have any questions about the program let me know. Good luck everyone!

Hi Bubby! What is the schedule of school like besides the once a week clinicals?

Hi Bubby! What is the schedule of school like besides the once a week clinicals?

I am sorry Khuff77 I wasn't notified of your post. The first semester you will have skills, theory, and clinicals. You will either have skills and theory the same day which means you would go to the campus one day and the hospital the other or you may get theory one day, skills one day, and clinical one day. My schedule was Tuesday 9-12 for skills Wednesday Theory 1-4:50, and clinicals Thursday 6:30-3:30.

Yes you will need to get the 18-19 season flu shot which may come out a little bit after you start the semester. They know when it usually comes out so they will be lenient on that one.

Where is everyone getting their insurance? Last year I had an aortic valve replacement and insurance is extremely expensive for me.

Hatkins as far as I understand it, it's science GPA and hesi score that matter? I think you will be just fine.

Hey grey!! I was wondering that about insurance too!
