Hey guys 💜 just wanted to open a thread for Fall 2018 applicants at Tarrant County College ADN program! I know application cycle isn't open for about another month but I saw a few comments on the Spring 17 thread and thought we could have our own thread already!

I'm applying with the following:

HESI: 94.5

I can't wait to "meet" some of you on here and I've got my fingers crossed for all of us!

I'll be applying with a 4.0 science gpa and I plan on re-taking the hesi in a few weeks. I made a total average of 79.5% on the hesi :bag:ahh I know pretty bad but i'm studying:bookworm: for it and hoping to do better! Anyways, good luck to everyone we got this! :cat:

Yay!! Sorry, I somehow turned off my notifications from AN so I'm just now seeing replies! I'm so glad to see others gearing up to apply for fall.

ME!! I'm retaking the HESI on Wednesday. I got an 86 the first time but totally bombed the math portion. So i've been working on that portion and am hoping for a 90 or better.

I'm starting to get so excited!!

Do you guys know anything about how clinicals work? Yesterday during the info session the advisor said that clinicals can be twice per week, 12 hrs each. That seems excessive. I was under the impression that it classes were two days per week (a few hrs each) and clinicals 12 hrs per week. Then I saw in other posts that are old that clinicals can be two days per week, but that they are split into 6 hours each. I'm so confused. I have two friends who graduated from there years ago and it was one 12 hour day. I'm trying to figure out how it would work since I need to figure out my work situation but they said yesterday that we won't know until we get our schedule once we are in. I plan to work full time throughout nursing school. Does anyone know any recent students?

Clinicals are once a week. For the first semester it is 630 am to 330 pm. Second semester would be 12 hrs once a week. I am a current student so if y'all have any questions about the program let me know. Good luck everyone!

Thank you so much BubbyBoogs!! I have been trying to find a current student to find out. I really thought I would have to quit my job.

I will be applying for the fast track and regular track. Re-taking my Hesi next week.

Do you have some information regarding the fast track program?

Hi everyone!! Really happy I found this thread, I started freaking myself out looking at the years previous threads and helps to know I'm not the only one. I'm applying for fall '18.

A&P 1: A

A&P 2: A

Micro: A

HESI A2: 91.5

I was rethinking of taking the HESI over again but honestly think I would just score lower.

Does anyone know if we'll need to get the flu shot for the immunizations as well?
