I am also waiting to find out if I was accepted into the RN-BS program! It's so nerve wrecking!! I can't wait to hear from them. When did you apply RNtoBSNjen?

I'm waiting too!! I submitted my app Jan10th but it just went to committee a week ago. Do you know anyone who went here? I don't know anyone because I'm out of state so I'm not sure how competitive it is.

Hi angie928 and blondie1887! I applied the day before thej original deadline. I think it was Jan 12th? They had a problem opening the official transcript, sent it again yesterday. I think it worked this time. My status still reads the same. I hope your committee review is smooth sailing.

So, are you both licensed RNs already? I am anticipating July 2014.

The same happened to me but last week. I had to resubmit my transcripts but, right now it's saying "screening in process". I am not licensed yet. I hope to have my license by the end of May or early June!

Yea, I am graduating in May as well, so I will not sit for my NCLEX until July. Mine says sent to committee right now. I think that they go thru as they receive them so maybe because I sent it early but they did say something about sending my final transcripts and RN license number, which obviously I don't have right now. I am not sure if that affects their decision at all. I hope so too!! Good luck! I am so nervous. I am from out of state and really looking to move to NY area right now so I am really hoping to get in! Downstate's price is not too terrible either.

Yup, I am in the same boat now. Sent to committee review and pending final transcript and RN license. Here we go!

The instructions stated you could submit a page stating your license is pending, so I think we are on the right path.

Blondie1887, I agree about the price. I am just hoping to find a job near school so I can survive the next year or so.

Yea, I submitted a letter saying I plan on taking it in July but there was a line that says to say a pending date I think, and I left it blank because I don't even have a date. We can't sign up until May thru our school and I'm guessing you're in the same boat. I am worried about the same thing. I am reading other forums and the job market for RN's in NY without a Bachelor's doesn't look good. I also have a Bachelor's in another field as well, but I don't think that count for anything if it's not in nursing:( Hopefully we will find something....I am going to try and not worry about it until it happens.

mine still says sent to committee...I was reading the accelerated post on downstate and they were talking about it saying it moved to different committee numbers, what does yours say? I keep checking.

I don't have a committee number, either. But I am feeling optimistic today - in other news, I got through my cardiac written exam without changing answers, about an hour after giving someone successful abdominal thrusts.

Blondie, are you working in healthcare now? If so, the experience along with your first degree ought to help.

I work in a Drs. office as a receptionist. That's fantastic, I always change answers, it helps me sometimes though I think. Where do you work? I did recently get in to Hunter. I got some weird rejection letter a month ago then I found out I got into the RN Pathways with advanced standing so I'm wondering if you know anything about this program I already already have a Bachelor's in another field so I want to finish ASAP! Why didn't you apply to this school? Have you heard anything about it?

did anyone else notice any changes, my app now says facultyscreener4 so I guess they're finally starting this process...anyone else notice that...this thing has been kind of dead.
