Awaiting admissions decision from SUNY Downstate RN-BSN program for 2014? So am I!

hey guys, I been looking for posts about Downstate and do not see many. I got accepted into the RN-BSN for Fall 2015, is anyone enrolled or graduated? I am debating where I should go there or one of SUNY online programs upstate ny. (I am graduating with my ADN in May )

I am currently in Downstate's RN to BS program. I started Fall 2014 and I can say that it is a great program so far, no complaints. Classes are 8 weeks long. Classes meet on either Tuesday or Wednesdays (you can choose what day works well. Sometimes we meet for 6 out of 8 weeks in class (Hybrid classes) Before I attended Downstate, I applied to SUNY Delhi as well but I decided to go with Downstate because I couldnt enter the Nursing program at Delhi before passing the boards. Plus Downstate was more accessable to me because I live in NYC. Downstate would give you until after the first semester to pass your board or else you could not progress into the program. Hello thank you for replying !! I am not sure how to get notifications on this site when someone responds to my post , so sorry for the delay! And unfortunately I can't private message because I don't use the site enough . Im glad you are enjoying the program ,gives me hope that I will also . I got into suny Canton and Plattsburgh too but i decided that onsite learning may be best for me . You said classes meet Tuesday or Wednesday , I'm guessing all day or morning or evening ? And how are you managing with working ? I can't find the schedule information on the website and when I called they said that info dont become available until summer . But how am I suppose to know my job availability if I have no idea the school schedule ?? Lol . I plan to work part time wherever I find a job .

Hello, congrats to everyone that got accepted to the program, I am currently looking into the rn to bsn at downstate.

I recently went to an info session and they placed a lot of emphasis on volunteering, did anyone volunteer before the program ?
