When does your semester officially start?? Are you done with orientation??

My semester officially starts August 25th. I cannot wait!!! We already had our nursing orientation in June and have started some of my summer readings.

I also took my nursing math pretest and met my math requirement for the nursing program.

I may go to the general student orientation at the school because it is a new, confusingly laid out college and I dont want to have a high school flash back!!

Our orientaion is Aug 1st and our first day of class is Sept 1st. I still have so much to do until then. I have to do my drug testing, take the NET, my CPR class, have my physical, get my titers drawn, and buy my books and supplies. But, I am really excited!!! :)

Well we had an orientation in June and an all day orientation on August 26th. Classes officially start that next week :)

Can't WAIT!! I already got my vaccinations, I have my second Hep B dose due the first week of August. I still have to schedule my physical and order my scrubs and shoes but I'm looking forward to August.

I begin August 22nd. We had our orientation last month and I've already completed my immunizations, CPR, First Aid and all that fun stuff. I'm nervous since I've got my BA in Art and have never really considered myself a great "science person" but I'm determined to excel and be the best!

I'm also new to this website (just registered tonight) so I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and going through this wonderful journey together!

We had orentation in June. Classes start Aug. 30th. Yeah! I'm so excited. Trying to get my summer reading done, get all my shots and buy uniforms for clinicals.

Good Luck to You!

I am starting my ADN August 30th. I went and got my CPR certification last week. I am getting my Hepatitis vaccine and titiers next week. I am going to start my summer reading also next week. I am anxious, excited and scared to death to start school! I've tried to prepare myself for the worst and hope for the best. We had our orientation in May and I felt sick to my stomach afterwards. It was so much information in such a little amount of time. They definitely tried to get to us future students.

Good luck to everyone and if anyone has any advice, please post!

Thanks!

I have orientation for the second degree BSN program on August 25th and we start after Labor Day. I already have my shoes and white top, but I still need to buy a lab coat and navy pants. I bought a Littman stethescope, and I'm going to borrow my husband's PDA because it's newer than mine. I took my Human Growth and Development CLEP exa, yesterday, and I passed! I'm nervous but also looking forward to getting started. Good luck everyone :)

T-minus 12 work days and counting 'til my last day at my present job. My attitude and interest is so low it's really difficult to keep engaged.

School starts the 29th of Aug and I'm pretty jazzed about getting the ball rolling.

Have to admit that when viewing these forums, I sometimes get the same feeling I used to get the first day of math class back in grade school. You know - you sit down that first day and crack open the text book somewhere past the middle - and upon looking at what was on the page, you get that momentary panic of "oh my gawd! What are they talking about!?!" I'm hoping that like that math class, by the time I get to where I opened the book, the material won't seem nearly as concerning.

I know what you feel like. Its like, am I really going to ever understand all this. I get so worried and stressed, but I'm like well you have to learn to crawl before you can walk. Keep your head up!
