Starting my 1st sememster in ADN program next month. It is also 9 credit hours goes like this:
Monday - 9 to 4 Fundamentals class
Tues/Wed/Thurs - 9 to 4 Fundamentals lab (and later in semester clinicals)
I sure hope I can get most of my studying done all day Friday with a few weekend hours!!
I don't work either but have 4 kids and we all know that is a job in itself!
I'll just be taking 8 Credit Hours total, and this is my final semester of pre-reqs! I'm so glad!
A&P (5 Credit Hours) - Mon-Fri 10AM-11AM
Psychology (3 Credit Hours) - 1/2 and 1/2, meaning,Tues & Thurs 9AM-10AM in class, and Mon, Wed, & Fri online
Excited to get these behind me! :) Good luck to everyone!
Hi, I'm starting my ADN nursing program in a few weeks. My 1st semester (of five semester program) will be:Fundamentals of nursing (6 credit hours)
Fundamentals of nursing clinical ( 1 day/week)
fundamentals of nursing lab (1 day/week; 2 days a week the first few weeks until we start clinicals)
Health Assessment (counts as 1 credit hour but is scheduled for 3)
Pharmacology ( also counts as 1 credit but is scheduled 3)
I'm excited to see how it will all work. I wrote down what I think my schedule will look like and I was able to find about 23 hours a week to study. I hope that will be enough! My schedule is officially only 9 hrs total but we were advised against working, especially full time, and have most or all of our "co-reqs" done. ( I have all of them out of the way). I don't work but I am a mom of 2 which keeps me pretty busy. I've also been "couponing" for a while now, and I would like to have 3-5 hours to spend on that but I didn't see where I could squeeze it in...we'll see.
How about everyone else? What will your first semester look like?
Thats about what my schedule is like except take out pharmocology and insert pathophysiology. All I know is on Monday I have class from 10-1130, Tues and Weds 0830-1730, Thurs and friday 1330-1730
Monday and Thursdays (Nursing Fundamentals)--1:30pm to 3pm
Wednesdays (clinicals)--7am to 1:30pm---STARTS WEEK ONE!!!!!!!!
Both of these are 5 credits total, so in order to get my financial aid, I needed 6 credits, so I took a 1 credit class called "Emergency Preparedness for the Health-Care Professional".
Semester two is also 5 credits, then the rest of the semesters have more credits.
First half of the semester:
Second half of the semester
Plus Physiology lecture on-line
