Nursing program
Published
Hello, I am currently a student at Suffolk county community college preparing to apply for the nursing program for fall 2021 start. I figured I would start this early since the deadline was extended to March 1st 2021. I am preparing to take the TEAS in December most of my prerequisites are finished with a grade of A and one B. If anyone has some great tips on how to score in the 80s and 90s feel free to share. I wish everyone the best of luck.

you slam dunked that exam! WTG its definitely enough to get in... was readying message boards from last year and people were getting in with much less...
@melaniebeemer @alphiemucha hi guys!! 90s on the TEAS is amazing!! Can you please give studying material you used or any advice that you achieved that score?! I’d greatly appreciate it!! You both will deff get in with 90s! I won’t be applying until next cycle I don’t feel prepared enough yet for the TEAS! Thanks again Xo
My biggest tip I can give is to take advantage of the resources out there. The biggest is the mast amounts of practice tests that are out there. I paid for an subscription to mometrix. there is a coupon code somewhere so I paid $35 a month but there are 8 Full TEAS tests, the other is https://www.smarteditionacademy.com/courses/ATI-TEAS-workbook-online-resources/ its free just register for a free account... again its another 8 different full TEAS tests... that's a total of 16 practice tests.... go through the tests and make flash cards of all the questions you got wrong for science, math and English, trust me you WILL see repeats of questions. even if you don't see a repeat, you can figure out answers by process of elimination. with English section try to memorize the patterns, there will be patters especially with questions regarding simple, complex, compound sentences... remember conjuntions numonic FANBOYS for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so.... for math make sure you know PEMDAS, for math my biggest tip is convert ALL fractions into decimals do the problem then convert back into fractions even if you have to go through the answer choices 1 by 1... for example 1/2 + 3/8 = turn it to .5 + .375 = .875 = 7/8 (thats an example) you don't need to memorize the formulas for areas, volume, surface volume for shapes they will give you the formula on the real TEAS but not on the practice tests.... anyone have any specific questions on how to do anything math related lmk I got 100% on math... but practice, practice, practice...... good luck and again im here if you need anything... my personal email is [email protected]

That’s very true. I’m a little surprised that they don’t take any medical experience or anything else besides stats into consideration ?
