Fall 2020 MANE applications

Published

Wanted to get a thread started on applicants for MANE Fall 2020 applicants. I’m applying to Inver Hills and Century with a composite score of 11.53. A little worried it won’t be enough to get in this time around, but I’ve already taken the TEAS 3 times and don’t want to take it again! Good luck everyone!

I hope not, but I’m sure it is.

So, that also changed the deadlines for Spring application for MANE to June 1 to August 1.

I saw that. I’d think Star would have told me that when she e-mailed me, but said there hold up had to do with the appeals. It’s all such a mess and so stressful!

Yeah, I’m sure it’s stressful on their end as well. I wonder what this means for century as they have yet to say if they are post-poning waitlist numbers

Ya I’m not sure, I’ll let you know if I hear anything!

Random question. How do you all think Covid 19 will affect the fall 20 and Spring 21 progams? Has anyone heard anything about distance learning or online clinicals?

I'm a paramedic in an ER that is an option for NHCC clinicals...and I worry that a no visitor/student policy will extend into the Winter season. I know things are changing each day, just wondering if anyone accepted into a mane program this year has heard any information from their advisors? Do you feel like your being kept in dark? Just curious as I will be applying for Spring 21, and wanted to hear other's thoughts on this!

I have been worried how that will impact programs. Although, I haven’t seen anything specifically a lot of stuff is up in the air based on how the spread continues. If you look on eservices as if you were gonna register for a nursing class they didn’t even have clinicals on there before just lecture. So, I think they’re being optimistic that at least student policies at the clinical sites will ease up by fall.

I’m sure there’s a lot of factors going into the easing of restrictions and who knows how fast they’ll move. I would imagine for hospitals they’ll want all their employees back (at least where I work many are furloughed) and elective procedures back before students.

Anyone know what they’re doing about clinical for current nursing students?

I know nursing students at Rasmussen and Bethel who both are doing online simulations.

Just got an email from Star saying we should have our numbers for the waitlist on Monday!

Exciting! Just curious who is Star? I was directed to Sherry for program admission questions.
