Is anyone starting to get really nervous, because I am! I got my test results, and passed, and I have 80 pts. But no letter of acceptance or denial yet. The LVN bridge starts June 15! I hate feeling like I am in limbo. I can't make summer plans, and I need to give my work some notice as well. Please let me know if you get your letter!
Hey everyone!
Okay i havent been on here for awhile cuz ive come to the conclusion that if it was even possible for me to stress this situation more i would die!!! i called county and they said applicants for the bridge program would know first sometime between now and june and for us 2 yr program we wont know till june july!!!! i was like omg were gonna know right before we start! but ya its starting to get really stressful bcuz the majority of people are in the 80's... so the competition is gonna be high!! and for you esj26 good job on all 85 points thats really good..
anyways please everyone let us know if you hear anything!!! thanks!!! =]

I got my results for the CAT test last Friday and passed. I also have 80 points. I hope that will be good enough to get in for Fall 2010. Thanks again for sharing your experiences as students as LA co. I thought due to their long history and tradition, that it would be better school than other city college nursing school. I have a friend that is currently in 1st year at LACC and he said that it's pretty much same everywhere. He said that he is not learning that much from the professors but he had to get some NCLEX books and study on his own to prepare for the exams.
Do any of you know someone that finished LA Co. Nursing School and work for the County hospital for 3 years to work for the deferred tuition?or any of you plan to take the opportunity? I am interested in doing that because I have interest in emergency or surgical nursing that it would be a great hospital to train at. I would greatly appreciate any knowledge that you can share about this. Do nurses at County hospitals get paid alot less than other hospitals? I've heard that with currently economic situations, good hospitals won't hire nurses with less than Bachelor degree. Wish everyone the best....
