Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

That's a good idea. I have that on my list as well and the Saunders book. All I have bought so far is a Happy Planner the tiny little ring note books. Those are $.25 so wont matter if I don't get in. ? I saw in some vlogs how they help during clinicals. That's a good idea about compiling a list and putting it in a general area. I want to have a cute planner like the blogs during nursing school, with stickers and washy tape. LOL
lol I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one with an "if I get into nursing school" Amazon list! ?
In other news, I thought I read somewhere that Montgomery gives a dosage calculations test during orientation and that you're dismissed from the program if you do not pass. Can anyone confirm this or has anyone heard the something similar? If so, then we can add studying for that to the list of things we should be doing while we wait. ?

How can they give tests without teaching how to calculate? I took pharm already, but I would also like confirmation if Tomball would do that.

I heard you do take a dosage calculation test ( didn’t hear about taking it at orientation though) but it’s within the first 3 weeks of the program and you have like 2-3 times to take it before you are dismissed

Maybe that's what they meant. I read it on the fall 2018 thread. If they DO test at orientation, then I'd hope that it's pretty basic and straight forward. Pharm isn't even required prior to entering the program so I don't see how they can dismiss people for not knowing yet....

Yea that's confusing, regardless if that's the case I still have the pharm books.
So are they taking 80 between all the schools combined or what? Anyone know what the limit is? I wonder how many have applied? The wait is KILLING me! I have been accepted to the LVN program(starts in the summer) to at least get my foot in the door. RN is my goal and would work so much better schedule wise!

What campus are you applying to? I should have applied for the LVN but I didn’t.
