Fall 2018 Lone Star Hopefuls

Hey everyone, just wanted to start a Fall 2018 page for Lone Star ADN/LVN future students!

Yeah my original plan was to wait til after the first semester, but I'm pulling my name from the alternate pool and won't be applying to nursing school again until next year. So I'd like to get some patient care hours in the meantime.

So you're suggesting just doing CNA cert.? I just wanna be able to work in a hospital eventually and didn't know if they preferred PCT over CNA.

Oh No! Did you say you are pulling your name? Don't give up! I am actually rooting for you and I am an 'Alternate' also. I suggest fighting to the end. You never know.

With your score, I'm sure you're next on the alternate list! Is there any way you can wait a bit and see? I'm sure someone will give up their spot.

I think getting your CNA certification will give you a boost when starting clinical as everything won't be so new to you.

It's not that, just some financial things have come up that have taken priority. So I'm postponing applying until the Fall or next Spring. But it's ok! It makes it feel like my application messed up for a reason. Or at least that's what I'm telling myself lol

But hey that means one more spot for someone else!

Sorry to hear you are pulling out. Hospitals will prefer a PCT. I am also CNA certified and find most of the work in LTC centers. It's been tough to find a hospital that will hire.

I already have a castle branch account from applying to sanjac last semester. Does anyone know how I can transfer the information to Lone Star?

Can you call CB and have the information transferred to the code for your current location

can you help me with it? im a bit confused as to what to do. i downloaded the form but i dont know what to do next

Go into CB and create an account. Then it ask to place an order. Enter the code for the ssv and it will walk you thru from there. Let me know if that helps

i did all that but whats next? just upload all the stuff under the my documents tab? there are no other instructions
