Fall 2018 Lone Star Hopefuls

Hey everyone, just wanted to start a Fall 2018 page for Lone Star ADN/LVN future students!

Hi avsqz,

So I do not know much about the Montgomery program, all I know is that they had 100% pass rate last semester, which is pretty awesome.

So with nh, I love it here. It's one of the larger programs in the lonestsr program with 120 people accepted. Honestly, the professors help you through a lot. They want you to succeed and are extremely approachable. It is pretty well organized and the facilities are separate from the main campus. That being said, it is a lot of work but what nursing school isn't? Oh we also go for two full years, so fall, spring, fall,spring. We have summer off, which is much appreciated! I'm not too sure what Montgomery schedule is.

This campus didn't have as high of a pass rate as Montgomery but we also have more students, so that might be why.

Thank you so much for the information. I ended up applying and putting NH as my first choice and Montgomery as my second choice. I applied with a overall 7.488 so i am hoping i get in. Im so glad to hear that the professors are helpful. My biggest worry was getting into a program and having to teach myself everything and not being able to get the help i need to succeed. Do you plan on getting your BSN after graduating from NH? If so what school do most recommend if you know of any to get your BSN.

Candycane1117 ... Also what was last years nclex pass rate? Since it wasn't like Montgomery. How are the clinical and the hospitals y'all attend. I applied for NH as my first choice so I am hoping I get in. Thank you for answering my questions. Glad to hear that the professors are wanting their students to succeed.

Hey guys! I am applying with a 7.8, NH as my 1st choice and Montgomery as my 2nd. Hopefully we will hear something back no later than mid-April because I'm having a birthday celebration that weekend & it would be nice to celebrate getting into the nursing program as well. I would definitely love for some of you guys to join!
