Hey guys, quick question-

for the VECHS applicant waiver agreement and statement

which box are we supposed to check for the portion that state:

"I am a current or prospective (check one):

Employee or Volunteer "

Does it know what it is referencing to.. Thanks in advance.

I'm so glad someone asked. When I opened it, it automatically had volunteer checked. So I thought I should just leave it. Also, above that, it was already filled in, Hillsborough Community College and the year 2019.....I figured I was supposed to leave that as well.....maybe someone else knows.

Jd0323 - the volunteer box is preselected so I am just leaving it like that. We don’t work there so.. LOL

Was it also prepoulated with Hillsborough Community College 2019 at the top of the info we fill out for you too?

Did you call to the number that I posted?

Also, if you have an insurance, don't mention it, so some of the vaccines will be free for you! You will only pay for the Virecella, and it cost $139. However if you mention that you have insurance, you must pay for all the vaccines you need.

I have already attached the cost of the vaccines!

Okay, so, I got all of those vaccinations when I was younger and just for future reference, would I have to get them again or do I have to just send in a copy of my vaccination records?

Long time lurker (and long time email refresher!), but first time poster

I got in and I'm in Cohort 3 !

Thank you! I didn't see the little check mark already there. Yes, it also repopulated "Hillsborough Community College 2019 at the top." Thanks a bunch.

Hello!

I also got all of them ; however, I obtained an anti- HBs titer that indicated that I am not protected against the hepatitis B virus, so I need to get re-vaccinated.

Hi everyone. Congratulations to all those who are getting their acceptance letters! It's an exciting time. I just finished the program in May (Dale Mabry Campus - afternoon cohort) and took my NCLEX this last week.

Also, if you have questions or any need for help navigating the next steps I might be able to help. Don't hesitate to ask!

Congratulations again -- It's a crazy ride and a lot of hard work, but the program prepares you well!

Anyone cohort #5, SouthShore?

Another random question. I'm a planner, and I'm getting ready to order uniforms and such. anybody have an idea of how many scrub tops and bottoms to order? Also, they might answer these types of questions at the online orientation, but that sheet of supplies, like stethoscope, watch.....I remember seeing stethoscopes at the bookstore, do they prefer we buy those or any specific brands? I feel so out of water with my naive questions.

I don’t think these are bad questions! I’m sure a lot of individuals are wondering the same thing! And how many scrubs and what the specifics are. I don’t really know HCC’s dress code. I think it all would depend on if we have to wear them for classes every single day or only certain days (for me at least)! Also there are so many different types of stethoscopes, so I was confused as to which one to get as well.
