Fall 2020 Hillsborough Community College

Published

Hi, I will be applying to hcc for fall 2020. My stats are:

overall gpa- 3.35

pre req gpa-3.5

teas- 75%

Do I have a chance of getting into the program for the fall term?

if you took the TEAS before they stated TEAS isn't a requirement for this application period, did you put your TEAS information on your application just because you did it already or did you just left it blank/ put N/A on the form just curious. Thank you!

Hello,

I put all my information and senta copy of my TEAS test. When I checked my WebAdvisor, I saw they accepted it.

Hi! So maybe I can be helpful with what to expect although things do change esp with Covid now etc, but.... I was accepted for Spring 2020 and did 6 weeks before I had to withdraw (more on that later ugh, but I learned some BIG lessons......) so I'm back. So thankful that I have been through this process once.

The acceptance comes through email. It will have the cohort assignment, which is non negotiable. You accept via email. Then you have a deadline for submitting paperwork and health records, which is after the orientation date.

There is attendance taken at the orientation, and the drug test is ont performed there. You will be given a lab slip and an appointment day/time at random. At the orientation is where we were also given our clinical assignments, also non negotiable.

Hello Gladis,

Thank you for sharing this information!

I wanted to ask you, if you know what is the program immunization requirement. Since I born in Colombia, I have any immunization record from the U.S.A., so I want to make sure I can solve this matter soon. With the COVID-19 around, everything is too slow!

Thank you!

Long time lurker, first time poster. I applied for Fall 2020 with a 4.0 prerequisite GPA. Hoping we hear back today.

I am so ready for this wait to be over. I hope tomorrow will be our lucky day

@Ms.AFutureNurse same here! If orientation is indeed July 13th, they need to notify us soon. That’s less than 4 weeks from now.

It’s 3 weeks and 5 days from today... I’m anxious to know too but I don’t know how knowing sooner will help it sounds like it will be online, nothing really to do except wait anyway.

@awind you’re absolutely right; however, some people work full time jobs & will need to take that day off. Unfortunately, if you don’t attend orientation, you lose your spot.

I think for a lot of us too it’s the aspect of wanting to make sure everything’s in order and being able to be prepared by going through the email and also by wanting to make sure any necessary appointments are in order (for doctor, CPR, etc.,) so that way all of that can be planned out and done by the start of classes.

Good point. I’m trying to get it all done ahead of time so I don’t have to worry and just in case I don’t get in it will still help to have that all done if you end up having to apply for Spring.

Hey guys, I saw someone say they had results back after 5pm. Hoping these few minutes would reflect that. Otherwise, what time did they usually send email results from the past?! Thanks so much! This wait is seriously killing me. I signed up for fall classes just in case I don’t get accepted. The classes were all filling up ?Best of luck to everyone!

@Ad0219 Yes, my email was time stamped 5:17. Alternates started receiving emails around 3:30.
