Hi, I will be applying to hcc for fall 2020. My stats are:

overall gpa- 3.35

pre req gpa-3.5

teas- 75%

Do I have a chance of getting into the program for the fall term?

No. Not yet ?

Hi! So maybe I can be helpful with what to expect although things do change esp with Covid now etc, but.... I was accepted for Spring 2020 and did 6 weeks before I had to withdraw (more on that later ugh, but I learned some BIG lessons......) so I'm back. So thankful that I have been through this process once.

The acceptance comes through email. It will have the cohort assignment, which is non negotiable. You accept via email. Then you have a deadline for submitting paperwork and health records, which is after the orientation date.

There is attendance taken at the orientation, and the drug test is ont performed there. You will be given a lab slip and an appointment day/time at random. At the orientation is where we were also given our clinical assignments, also non negotiable.

Thanks for that info. A while back I remember seeing people talk on here who swapped campuses with other students who had been accepted. Is that still allowed?

Orientation will be online July 13. We planned a vacation with my kids and husband up north to see family and I wanted to be sure that it didn’t conflict with orientation if I’m accepted. That was directly from Mrs. Palmberg, the director of the nursing program. This is awful waiting. ?

Did she say when the letters will be sent out, July 13th is coming quickly!!

My guess is it won’t be today if no one has heard by now. For Spring 2020, the alternates started getting emails around 3:15.

When was the deadline for Spring ? And do we have any idea what the alternates GPAs looked like ? Thanks everyone !

@laurenmarchand the deadline was August 15 & notifications went out on October 2nd. The cut off GPA was 3.54; @rrodriguez212 was an alternate & can probably give better insight to the alternates GPAs.

Yes ma’am! I was alternate #19 with a 3.34 and still got accepted!

Hello Everyone!

I know HCC will requiere us to have a CPR Certification, so today, I got my Certification! I only paid $45. I am going to attach a picture with all the info just in case someone is interested in it. Melissa is the name of the instructor! She is very sweet! Just send a text message, and she will answer you right away ?I know the classes are every Tuesday,Thursday , and Saturday at 9:00 am. ??

I don't think we are going to get an answer this week, but hopefully, the following week will may ? something!????????
