Fall 2018 CSN Hopefuls?

U.S.A. Nevada

Hello Everyone! After much consideration I have decided to apply for CSN ADN and then I will do the RN-BSN program at NSC. It is more cost effective for me that way. I am in the summer Biol-189 course right now with hopes of getting into AP1 for Fall 2017. I am planning on taking Micro online with Marian University to get some more points in before the March 1, 2018 deadline. Then AP 2 in the Spring!

Is there anyone else out there working on Fall 2018 admission? Where are you in the process???

Have any of you heard about the cutoff points for the Fall 2017 and Spring 2017 cohorts? I wanted to apply for the part time, but considering CSN only accepts 16 people vs the 100+ for the full time, in addition to that I won't have everything done then full time it is for me.

Good of luck to you all! 😊

I'll have to check again. I thought on the application it said you can APPLY to multiple but could only ENROLL in one LE at a time... that's what my argument was banking on at least

That's what they said at the Health Programs Orientation, if I'm remembering it correctly. I sorta remember it because I thought it was a little strange that someone would be interested in multiple programs.

you can apply to multiple programs but only one track (if program has multiple tracks). which the ADN program is the only program with multiple tracks.

This is correct...I turned my application in last Tuesday and I got a call from a health advisor on Friday I believe asking if I wanted to switch my application from Regular to Extended as they opened extended back up. One track submission per admission process. The LE Workshop and the admission process packets we have to sign and include in our application will reiterate this information as well!

It does suck -less chances for us- but I understand why they do it. So many people apply for this program that they cant have multiple people repeating. It would increase their workload and make it unfair for those who really do need extended track. It evens the playing field a bit more :)

So I take my TEAS again on Saturday at csn.. anyone else??? This will be my second time. First time I missed the science by less than 1%!!! Everything else was in the 80s so as long as I can get one more right I'm golden lol.

Hey everyone! I just got caught up on the thread. That is so crazy how they got rid of part-time track for one semester and now is reinstated again.

I heard they got rid of it to get ready for the BSN program to come. Does this mean they aren't going through with the bachelors program anymore?

I'll be applying for the Fall program. I'm nervous that there are NO spots available to have a counselor go over my application. So i'll be looking it over 300 times before I submit.

I applied for the Spring 2018 Track, got in as an alternate but didn't make the cut (was missing 224). It was suupperrr competitive last semester since everyone was going for the full time track since the part time wasn't available. Now that part time is back open, I'm extremely hopeful since there are more spots to fill again.

I'll def have to join that FB page. Good luck everyone!!!

:roflmao: Nervous, excited, scared... Good Luck to everyone applying for the Fall 2018 ADN program... Extended or Regular.

Well congrats are in order for even making alternate! I'm sorry you weren't picked for last semester but I'm sure this semester has your name on it!

I'm hoping that due to the reinstatement of the Extended Track that there will be a better chance for Full Time as well for all of us. I'm not sure about the status of the possible BSN program here but I can definitely ask in my meeting this Monday. I'll share any news I learn from the LE advisor!

The Facebook groups are very helpful -especially the CSN Nursing Rocks, which has everyone past, present, and future. The CSN Fall 2018 group can be a bit quiet but we're all very supportive there as well during this Hurry Up and Wait stretch of the application process we're in! Definitely recommend though, the more the merrier!

Good luck to you during this application round!! 😊

Ok quick! What is your best and favotrote study guides for science section of the teas??? I took it last weekend and got in the 90s for all three sections but still didn't pass the science. I called to cancel my Leo appt. and found out that they have done away with the 3 month wait to re test policy . You can now re test immediately! And there just happens to be open spots for this weekends test. This is my last chance before the app deadline to teat. What's the best science study guide ???

NavyGirl8701 - after failing the ATI TEAS twice because of the Science section, I purchased the 2 practice tests from the ATI website. It helped tremendously. I passed the ATI TEAS in beginning of January.

How long did you use them for ? Because they just opened another test date but it's for his weekend . So I get another chance ! I thought I was out so I'm happy but only have till Saturday to study!
