Hello Everyone! After much consideration I have decided to apply for CSN ADN and then I will do the RN-BSN program at NSC. It is more cost effective for me that way. I am in the summer Biol-189 course right now with hopes of getting into AP1 for Fall 2017. I am planning on taking Micro online with Marian University to get some more points in before the March 1, 2018 deadline. Then AP 2 in the Spring!
Is there anyone else out there working on Fall 2018 admission? Where are you in the process???
Have any of you heard about the cutoff points for the Fall 2017 and Spring 2017 cohorts? I wanted to apply for the part time, but considering CSN only accepts 16 people vs the 100+ for the full time, in addition to that I won't have everything done then full time it is for me.
Good of luck to you all! 😊

You can always switch to part time after the fist semester. The first semester is the same if you are full time or part time. You just have to submit a form saying you want to switch to part time.
Thank you I heard that they have discontinued the part time program now at CSN so that sucks.

When I saw my counselor last week she told me there will no longer be a part-time program and also that they will be creating their own bridge to BSN probably by the time I graduate. (Hoping to start Spring 2019) I'm in 189 now!
Yes I keep hearing the rumor about offering BSN but haven't seen anything concrete yet.
Yeah she said it was for sure but who knows?

Hi everybody! I know this thread is kind of dying down, but I'm getting my nursing application together and I've already taken my TEAS. Has anyone heard of a person getting accepted into the program with 30 pts. ? I'm really nervous because I'm not applying with BIOL 224 class which is worth 10 pts.
The lowest points I heard of someone getting in was 23 & 26 points!

Hi guys!
I am planning on applying for the Fall 2018 RN program. Last time I met with my counselor she said there were people getting in
with as low as 25 points so I think it's safe to say that 30 points should be more than enough points to get into the program.

Yes this is true! I had an CSN 4th semester student on my floor at the hosptial this past weekend doing her preceptorship and she told me the exact same thing about hearing someone got in with 25 points!

How did micro online through marian go? I tried to take micro with Marian, but I'm a VA student and the Ava would t pay for micro through marian because of how it would transfer to csn... but I took my anatomy and physiology through Marian and got sub waivers. I took bio 189 and micro online through CCCONLINE it was great! I'm taking my TEAS ON 1/23 and I have my advisement meeting on 1/3. I can't wait! I have attempted to apply before but it just never worked out, but THIS is the time!! Lol I am done with everything and finally going to submit for the March selection cycle . Right now I have 35 points without my TEAS, so I'm pretty hopeful this cycle. I'm really hoping they decide o open up the part time program!!!! It'll be easier for me with 3 kids .

Hi all! I'm also applying for the program from California. ..and very late in the game! Just hoping they still take a chance on me. I'm not sure how to calculate my points but I've taken every prereq (minus 189) I'm going to see if my other sciences can waive that requirement. I've taken a bio course also just not sure it'll transfer in. ...any tips on how to study for the TEAS? GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! !!!
