Fall 2018 CSN Hopefuls?

U.S.A. Nevada

Hello Everyone! After much consideration I have decided to apply for CSN ADN and then I will do the RN-BSN program at NSC. It is more cost effective for me that way. I am in the summer Biol-189 course right now with hopes of getting into AP1 for Fall 2017. I am planning on taking Micro online with Marian University to get some more points in before the March 1, 2018 deadline. Then AP 2 in the Spring!

Is there anyone else out there working on Fall 2018 admission? Where are you in the process???

Have any of you heard about the cutoff points for the Fall 2017 and Spring 2017 cohorts? I wanted to apply for the part time, but considering CSN only accepts 16 people vs the 100+ for the full time, in addition to that I won't have everything done then full time it is for me.

Good of luck to you all! 😊

Hi navygirl. I am planing to apply to csn cohort fall 2018 and I live in San Diego, California now. I just have 1 more pre-re fundamental of life science course to apply to this program. I searched on ccconline for this course but I did not not see it. Did you study this course at cccconline?

For those of you saying you have more than 34 points, did you add that or did your advisor? According to the selection criteria for the RN program, you can only get 34 points. I'm starting to think people are mixing the LPN selection criteria with the RN criteria...

They are talking about the RN program. For years going back the max points were 44. For spring 2019 going forward max points will be 34. Prior to now, Math 120 was worth 10 points. It's now listed as a prerequisite to the program and not selection criteria points.

Hi everyone! New here. I was curious what everyone's thoughts were on 27 points for start date spring 2019. I've heard so many different numbers and now the math is not worth 10 points?? Do you guys think I'll be good or should I sign up to retake a class this fall, just in case?

I will also be applying with 27 points, maybe 28 if I can increase the score on my TEAS exam by 4% overall which I am re-taking next week :/ I think we should be ok with 27 points but the acceptance points for Fall 2018 were high compared to other semesters so I am nervous but I think we will have a good shot!

Okay, I thought so too. I just took my TEAS last weekend and only got 84%. :( But hey, I'll take what I can get because last time I missed the reading by ONE question! So this go around, I'll have all my scores at the minimum requirements at least. Good luck to you!!

Hey, how did you take micro online? I go to CSN as well and want to finish prereqs sooner rather than later. Thanks!

Hello, how did everyone prepare for the TEAS? It's hard and the minimum 80 in reading is tough for me. Thanks.

HI did csn accept your online science courses?

CSN did take all my pre weds and ALL of my science courses were online from other schools. It was a frustrating process getting them transferred in but they did take them. and I'm in 1st semester of the program now so they WILL. Take them you just hve to be vigilant and thorough with who you're talking to

Does anyone know what the schedules like for the extended track?

Congrats on getting in! How many points did you have? Are you full time or part time? I know 1st semester is the same for both! I'm in AP2 now so I am going to be applying March 1 for the fall 2019 cohort! Fingers crossed*
