Fall Classes 2013

Published

Hey just wondering what Fall classes everyone's signing up for this Fall. I'll be taking A&P 1 the first two months, A&P 2 the last two months of the semester, as well as Microbiology, and Philosophy(ethics) for the full semester. Please if you have any advice or comments of the difficulty level of the classes I'm taking, I'll appreciate your comments, thanks!!! *^_^*

I am taking A&P I and college algebra and public speaking. As much as I will miss summer, I am ready to get this show on the road and finish my last 2 semesters of prereqs

I'm taking A&P 1 w/Lab , Principles of Chem, college Algebra

Specializes in Psychiatry.

I just finished taking A&P 2 in a shortened semester. My biggest advice would be to stay on top of the material. It's an extremely large volume of information in a very short period of time. It can be a struggle to retain it all come test time if you haven't stayed on top of things.

For fall I am taking:

- Microbiology

- Microbiology Lab

- Intro to Logic & Critical Thinking

- World Religions (required pre-req for one of the BSN programs I'm applying to)

- Anthropology

- Art Appreciation

I can't believe fall semester is already coming up, but I'm taking:

A&P II

General Microbiology

Human Development

English Composition II

I'm nervous and scared taking A&P II with Micro but hopefully I'll make it.

I'm nervous about physiology and micro too. I've heard micro is a lot of memorization. I can deal with that, but physiology makes me nervous! I guess only time will tell. Good luck to you!

Busy, busy bees! I'm taking microbiology with lab, gen chem (for a refresher) with lab,, college math or some mid level math and world religions! Last semester before applying so I'm going big or not getting in ha :)

Specializes in Psychiatry.

My school doesn't even let you enroll for Micro until A&P II has been completed. It will definitely be challenging, especially with a full load. Just be prepared to devote most of your time to those two classes, and you will be fine. I have seen some people not handle taking two sciences together well at all, and there are plenty of people who have and thrived. It's all going to come down to what you're able to put into it. Good luck!

Microbiology, A&P 2, and Psych (retaking it!)

Good luck everyone. Can't wait to apply in January!

taking the medical terminology will def. be a help, My sister in law is a nurse and she just advised me to start learning now.

Same here I know that A&P 1 & 2 will require my full attention and memorization as well as Micro, and plus I heard Philosophy is tons of reading, so I'm scared and nervous too!!! I mean I will do all the work I have to do, but I just hope my brain can retain all the information from all those different difficult classes!!! We'll Make It You'll See Just Don't Slack and I Think We'll Be Okay.....

Trisha, I took A&P I with micro and it was fine. I thought A&P I was a lot more difficult than A&P II (which I am currently taking), but it really depends on how you learn. Just stay on top of things and know you have a whole community of prereqers rooting for you!

Be sure and get A's in your classes. It is unusual for someone to take A&P1 and 2 and micro in the same semester. What about micro lab? It depends on your teachers. Some micro and A&P professors are very easy some are hard, and demand 30+ hours of work for one class. Be sure and google the professors so you know ahead of time.
