Fall '07 Applicants-OLOL Accelerated

Published

Anyone had their interview yet? If so, how was it? :uhoh3:

I have a question for you: how prepared do you feel for the boards? Does OLOL have a lot of graduates who pass the state boards?

Specializes in Med-Surg/ ICU.

Last year it was 97% pass, one person failed first time around. I feel prepared to take it soon, I am going to take the Hurst review first, and then take the NCLEX asap. I graduate Thursday, and now that it is almost over, I am glad it only took 9 months!!! Just be super prepared to be stressed and have no life. FLEXIBILITY in this program is a must. You have to be committed. Good Luck :balloons: :balloons:

OLOL has a high pass rate for boards, everyone I graduated with stated they pass the first try. Not sure who that one person is, all that is matters is that they passed.

Congrats on graduating, the NCLEX isn't all that bad. :)

Anyone have any idea to how OLOL/Tulane is going to notify us of acceptance or denial (mail or phone). I'm not sure what I prefer. Hopefully, we only have a few more weeks to wait. Good luck to everyone!!

I just want to say congratulations to all of you who are about to embark on this very short journey.

Thank you for the words of encouragement. I'm glad the journey's short. I had my interview and felt that it went very well. I hope the feeling was mutual.

Your acceptance comes by mail...

How do you guys feel about the requirement to work in med-surg during the two-year contract with Tulane? I am glad that they were up front about that during the interview.

I really don't have a problem with it. I'll just be grateful for the opportunity get my degree in this short period of time.

To our so much smarter (2007 & 2006 grads) I have a question please. If you wanted to prepare for this program this summer before starting, what would you study? And is there a web site where you can download notes (like Charity has)?

Also A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2007 GRADUATES!!!

I have NO medical experience! None, nada.

I wanna know what's up, folks. I got accepted to another school (big name, competitive, etc.) in my area, and I have to tell them something by June 1st! OLOL is still my first choice. Strange because the other school starts in November and they are telling me before OLOL's August start.

I'm starting to lose it folks.

Hey, I am definitely looking for folks who want to share a place. Serious , mature study types, that know when, where and how to rewind.

Congradulations blkgrlwthwings,

I had to chose between two schools also and turned one down for OLOLC

so I have everything riding on this.

If I get in I will be looking for roommates - so we can stay in touch and see what happens
