  1. I've been on allnurses.com since Fall 2008 when I starting nursing school. I would like to say thank you to all the posters for all the helpful comments. I graduated in May 2009 and took the NCLEX-RN on 07/14/09. All the praise and glory to my Savior Jesus Christ:bowingpur. He was with me through all of my struggles. Please don't ever believe the Lord doesn't hear your prayers. He got you through nursing school and will get you through NCLEX no matter how many times it takes. Honestly I was so prayed up the test seemed like it never became difficult. I know I missed some, but I didn't have the feeling I was doing terrible. I used NCSBN site for the questions, Saunders Comp Review book and CD, Hurst Review and Kaplan strategies book. However, I found NCSBN and Saunders most helpful. Just had to tell of the goodness of the Lord. Oh and I only had 75q and found out Thursday I'm officially a RN.
  2. Outsiders just don't understand, but believe in yourself and with God's help you'll do just fine.
  3. I would like to that my test in mid July, but I'm about to have a nervous breakdown. I was a very good student in school (A's and B's in my nursing courses). I have taken Hurst and I have the Lippincott Prioritization book, Saunder Comp review book with CD and Kaplan strategies book. I'm stressed out and I need some help.
  4. Eyespy, this is the last response to any of your questions since you didn't answer any of our questions about who the instructor was whose class failed at SU or whatever school it was. I've already spoken to the school where I will go to get my MSN and I will be accepted. Anyone with common since knows were the first class to graduate from the school. Good luck to you and I hope you find some other sources of info b/c the ones you currently have don't know much.
  5. I don't know where you all are getting this info from! As long as you have a Louisiana license you can work. No hospital expects a school to be accredited for the first class. The school is accredited by the Louisiana Board of Nursing, but can't get any NLN or other accreditations until they graduate the first class based on the NClex pass rate.
  6. No we don't have check offs. Also most of the new staff thinks our class is spoiled. I also asked about why we had to come a extra hour early to turn in our Peds paperwork and she said where she came from students wouldn't have questioned that requirement and that we could use the hour to study.
  7. I really want to meet her to see what's going thru her mind.
  8. What's a FAN nurse? I'm not sure Medicine 2 is where I would want to stay. I may want some experience in Telemetry or ICU.
  9. Yeah, I've interviewed over there. I think I may get the position on the Medicine 2 floor. I wonder if I get the position could I transfer to another floor later if my interest change?
  10. No, I haven't heard anything. Do you know anyone in our class working at North Oaks in Hammond?
  11. Yeah, it's me but how did you know. I'm so ready to graduate and I know every one who has made it this far will succeed!!!!!
  12. No, we didn't have to attend summer school. Everything is great and I'm scheduled to graduate in May 2009:yeah:. Don't give up. I didn't get into my first choice (OLOL accelerated program-Tulane). BRCC may not be the best place for you or it just may not be your time. Trust me you'll get accepted into the best school for you.
  13. Hi, I need some help from my fellow posters. I'm in my last year of nursing school in Baton Rouge. Do you all have any tips or advice for places looking for part time student workers?
  14. Ms. Kay send me a private message and I'll tell you more about the program.
  15. I'm currently in the nursing program and honestly the math is not HARD. If you can do simple math, subtraction, multiplication and division, you should pass it. If you don't pass it the first time, they give you 2 more chances I think. However, most of the class passed it the first time.
