Hi all,
I don't know if anyone here has used the online Silvestri NCLEX study package. It offers online content, tests, and a final CAT similar to Mosby's CAT. But you can only take it once and you can't review it. Well I was also studying Kaplan and getting 65% and over on all the Qbanks. Then I took Silvestri's CAT and failed it in 75 questions! Needless to say my confidence was shattered. Later I signed up for Mosby's CAT and was told I would have a 99% chance of passing the NCLEX....hmmmm....interesting. I took many CATs through Mosby and most gave me a 99% chance of passing after 75 Mosby questions. But a couple of times I had to go farther then 75 and once I went up to 150 questions and it said it could not 'determine' my ability to pass NCLEX. I guess I'm just bringing all this up because eventually I felt that I had to take the NCLEX and put that awful Silvestri CAT experience out of my mind. I passed the NCLEX in 75 questions but was SURE I failed it until I got my results. I couldn't believe it! So to all you still studying, get comfortable with the material, whatever source you are using, and then GO FOR IT!!!
Good luck~!

I also failed the Saunder's Silvestri CAT at the end of the 4 week on-line review that I had purchased. Totally broke my confidence 48hrs prior to testing. BUT I PASSED the NCLEX! That's all that matters now, I guess, but really, I think Saunder's should have a way to look back at the CAT or order another one. Good luck test takers! Just keep practicing questions!
