  1. Hi there, This link will take you to the Mosby CAT site. Good luck! http://www3.us.elsevierhealth.com/CAT/ Elizabeth
  2. Hi all, I don't know if anyone here has used the online Silvestri NCLEX study package. It offers online content, tests, and a final CAT similar to Mosby's CAT. But you can only take it once and you can't review it. Well I was also studying Kaplan and getting 65% and over on all the Qbanks. Then I took Silvestri's CAT and failed it in 75 questions! Needless to say my confidence was shattered. Later I signed up for Mosby's CAT and was told I would have a 99% chance of passing the NCLEX....hmmmm....interesting. I took many CATs through Mosby and most gave me a 99% chance of passing after 75 Mosby questions. But a couple of times I had to go farther then 75 and once I went up to 150 questions and it said it could not 'determine' my ability to pass NCLEX. I guess I'm just bringing all this up because eventually I felt that I had to take the NCLEX and put that awful Silvestri CAT experience out of my mind. I passed the NCLEX in 75 questions but was SURE I failed it until I got my results. I couldn't believe it! So to all you still studying, get comfortable with the material, whatever source you are using, and then GO FOR IT!!! Good luck~! Elizabeth, R.N.
  3. Hello hica19-- I am so sorry to hear about your wait! And your family being 'sure' you failed is not helping matters. It appears that many people are waiting a long time to see their name posted on the website. My friend took the exam in April and waited almost 2 weeks. After calling our school and multiple calls to the Board it turned out that there was a paperwork issue. One person she would talk to at the board would say they didn't have her paperwork, then another person would say the DID have it but it was still being processed. Please try (I know it's hard) to keep your hopes up. I bet you passed! What my friend found out was that the Cali Board will give you your ATT to test without requiring all of the transcripts to be received by the board. THis is why they don't do quick results because not everyone who tests automatically has had their transcripts completed and sent to the board. Giving out results, and therefore licenses, before confirming that the test taker actually completed nursing school and graduated, would be premature. But that's totally frustrating for us. Try your best to keep up your spirits. Good luck! Liz
  4. Congrats to you turtlegirl!!! I found my name up this morning too! Good luck to everyone and to you also hica 19!! :balloons: :balloons:
  5. Oh, sorry Turtle girl, I didn't see your post above that you already called the Board. I should have read more before answering you.
  6. Hi there-- I do think the Board has not issued any licences since Monday becasue there are no new numbers posted since then. I also have been going in this week for physicals and its been hard to keep up my spirits. I was thinking of calling the Board and asking if my paperwork is complete. Sometimes that can cause a delay. Maybe you should call them too? It might make us feel better and maybe they'll say they've had a delay in posting licensces this week. It must be from the holiday.
  7. Do you think the Board issues all licenses in numerical order? I just checked this am and there still is no license past 682299 but I can't imagine they haven't posted any since Monday. The 4th was only a one day holiday...
  8. OOPS! I forgot the link! Here it is-- http://www.rn.ca.gov/
  9. Hi there-- Go to this link. On the right hand column you will see 'permanent licence verification.' Click there and you can enter your name. If you took it today it won't be up yet though.
  10. Thanks for the kind words Rhiannon! And Congratulations to you!!!!!!!!:balloons:
  11. Thank you for the well wishes!
  12. Oh, that's interesting! Do you know when your friend took the test and how long she waited to see her name up?
  13. Hi there, No, I don't see my name up and I took it on July 3rd. I am losing hope that I passed. Just curious--why do you think they didn't updated it since the 3rd? They are supposed to update it once at midnight, Monday through Friday. Are you also waiting for results?
  14. Hi there! Here is the link to purchase the Mosby CAT or to read about the product. I liked it as another source of assessment/studying. Good Luck. http://www.us.elsevierhealth.com/product.jsp?isbn=9780323028660
  15. Hi all, Do the Pearson Vue people know our score before we even walk out the door? I'm beginning to think that the woman who walked over to me when I finished sort of had a grim look on her face. Did she know I failed? When I left one of the other workers there told me to have a nice day. What does that mean??? Did he think I should enjoy my day because I would soon find out that I failed and then I would have a bad day? Freaking out. Live in California and know idea yet if I passed.
