Failed NCLEX twice with 265 both times

I have taken the NCLEX twice both times max 265.

So the first time I took the NCLEX and failed 265 questions with two subjects above standard , Two below passing Standard and the rest near passing standard. I worked on the subjects I failed really focusing on my weak points .The second time I took the NCLEX unfortunately failed again with 265 questions( Took it very hard). When I got my letter I was at or near passing on all subjects except one, and it was one of the topics I had previously been above standard! Very frustrating and disheartening, from what everyone has told me I’m close or it wouldn’t get to 265 . My question is , do I have to be above standard for all topics to pass ,Or would I be able to pass with all near passing standard and one above standard? Ideally I’d love to be above standard on all topics but Right now I’m just hoping to pass my test so I can finally finish what I started years back now . Thank you for any advice and your time for reading this I’m not giving up I’m just trying to approach the test as smart as possible

Above standard on every topic ? Because I’ve never heard of anyone who got a fail letter with majority near or above passing and one above standard, it would seem to me like that would be the passing point but I may be wrong . I’ve been using Uworld and I’m at the 64th percentile score range from high 50s-low 70s Just trying to figure out how to approach it next time

Has anyone ever gotten a failed letter with all subjects near or passing level, and one above passing Standard ? Curious to see what people got from there response letter when they got the Max 265 questions . Please share if you got the max , it’s hard to get over the hump when you don’t even know where the jump is ...

I’ve failed the NCLEX two times also at 265 questions.... graduated December 2018 (first attempt: February 2019, second attempt: May 2019) I used Uworld for both times... I’m taking it again on Monday(12/16).... I’ve purchased Remar Review and Kaplan online review course for this time around! I’m not giving up and you shouldn’t either! We will get this! My last report stated all near passing and one below passing level...

How did you prepare for NCLEX? I would recommend UWorld for anyone studying for nclex. It truly helps you so much answering nclex style questions and the design and layout are the exact same! Please do not get discouraged because this is just a small setback for a greater comeback! Keep studying and think positive thoughts only! Good luck to you.

I passed my second time (with 265 questions as well) on my second try. I would use UWorld if you haven't done that yet, but I actually failed my first time using UWorld only. What helped me was truly understanding how the NCLEX works, and what I needed to do in order to comply with test taking/understanding. What helped me the MOST was the NCLEX-RN book from Kaplan with the Kaplan Q-bank questions (but please keep in mind that I had the entire UWorld Q-bank as my foundation already). What I drastically changed was constantly practicing the Q-bank in the same way that the NCLEX would be (timed and all in one go, not tutor mode). Then I'd review the rationales and write them down in a notebook. I would review the notebook each Saturday and Sunday. Even if I got low percentages (one time I got a 34%), I wouldn't give up and continued to do 75 or 50 questions everyday. If Kaplan is simply too hard, I would try UWorld's Q-bank, but definitely in the timed mode and no less than 50 questions.

I felt so lost and scared too, so you are NOT alone! During my first time, I got the bad PVT trick pop up and cried for hours. I tried to cling onto the fact that some people (very few) get the bad pop up and still pass; however, I was not the exception. My boyfriend had to check my second NCLEX PVT trick because I was too scared to do it myself. But I got the good pop up and danced all around my house! I was nervous that it could also be a glitch, but my name was posted on the DCA nurse list the next day. The best method is to make sure you have a calm and sound mind on the day of the NCLEX, knowing you tried your absolute best. You really can do this!

I received a fail letter a couple of years ago with 2 subjects "above passing" and the rest "near passing" At the time, I had taken all 265 questions.

I have taken the nclex 9 times and the last 2 times( 2017 and 2018) , I had all 265 questions. My results in my email had all 8 areas " Near Passing Standard". Both times with the same result with the same amount of questions. I failed both times but I heard the same thing that you are very close to passing. Therefore, study all those areas again like what I'm doing and retake your exam. Test taking strategies may be the issue instead of content. I plan to retake in a couple months. Good luck
