I have failed the NCLEX 3 times and am not sure if I should even take it again. Advice please....? I don't think I'll ever pass it.

Hi! I just want to ask.... If an applicant failed 3x >>>> will they be able to apply again or they will have to take refresher course before they be able to apply again to sit for the exam?

Thanks

oh i have taken it more than 5xs still have not passed... dont know why.. i mean . im just not getting the questions correctly.:( .. i dont evne know why im siting here feeling sad if i havent gotten my resutls...;(

I can understand your pain, but only thing i will suggest you is, dont give up. Hang in there, things will change. I see many people coming out successfully with suzanne's plan. Why not give a try? When discouraging thoughts come, try distracting yourselves from that. You can do it.

hey know what? i know someone who took the test 10 times! he still failed tho. to think that he was a nursing instructor as well. he finally passed on the 11th try when he took the test in hongkong just recently. he even tried CGFNS and always get 1point below passing. and he still tried and tried. and there he goes! finally he ace nclex! so don't loose hope.

One of my clinical instructors took the NCLEX 7 times before she passed. She told us to never judge ourselves or others on how many times they take it. Some people are not good test takers, it has no effect on how good of a nurse they are.

Amen to that. I am a foreign trained R/N with 14 yrs experience and failed X 2. i tried again on 12/28/06 and am awaiting the results. during my active nursing years, i was the best i could be and enjoyed my work. Today a piece of paper wants to determine my ability and that is not fair. But what can you do. Many conpetent nurses are not good test takers like me but in the field are compassionate and wonderful nurses. What a life. Good luck with future ventures.:uhoh21:

Hello,

I too took the test last Dec. 29, 2006 it's my 3rd time and failed. We're in the same boat. But, let's not lose hope that we will pass it. jeremiah 29:11 is my promise of hope. It's hard considering we tried and studied and did our best. Everything there's a reason. Hang in there.

you know what, as long as we're alive, we'll take this test till we pass it. Don't feel sorry for yourself. it will be more profound and meaningful for us when we pass this coz we put our hearts into it. He will give you the desires of your heart, just pray and trust in his promise. We did our best, he'll do the rest.

Hi! Do you have any idea as to how many tries does Vermont allows you? and what state is that allows unlimited tries for nclex exam?

I took it 3 times and failed too. But you know what? I will take it again. So hang in there, try again and stay positive. We have our own place in the sun and God knows his plans for you. "In his time of favor, he will answer you" so take it easy, take a deep breath and plan on studying for the next shot :) you're not alone.

Hey, don't give up. You just have to focus and pray hard. You can do it!

I need help what is the suzanne plan?
