needs everybodys advice!
Hi Matilda, Actually I did not use suzanne's plan.... I used the ATI CD's they were extremely helpfulllllllllll. This is how I did it...I would focus on one area ie "Neuro" review the neuro section then listen to the ATI CD on that section only. then I would review questions only in that area... The more I listened to the CD's and did questions the more I got right. I think by listening to the CD's I was able to retain more info.. But even the day going into the exam I was still nervous. One book I will tell you to get is the Lippincott but the Exam Cram is a must have believe me... Let me know if you need anything else. I know exactly what you are going through.

Hi Paganda 2000, Point well taken. However, I believe someone mentioned in the previous thread that you are conditioned to think one way as an RN and going for an LPN maybe somewhat confusing. For instance, RN can Teach, Evaluate and Assess and LPN is not responsible to do those task so it maybe somewhat confusing answering the questions. Nonetheless, you have to follow our own dreams and destiny's whatever that maybe. Now am I scared of taking my test again to? ABSOLUTELY but I know that I have to do it in order to start working as an RN. I refuse to let failure stop me and you should not let it stop you!!!!! Dont give up thats what we are all here for to encourage each other but more importantly, to gain knowledge... I am glad I have my allthenurses.com buddys!!!

I ditto that statement the only program that I have seen that is comparable to state boards is KAPLAN. I have almost every NCLEX book and I have tried almost every program. But I believe my problem is understanding some of the content. When I take my time and review the content area and understand the info I am doing better. At this point that is the only thing I can do!!! Someone posted in an earlier thread that the saunders NCLEX book breaksdown the information better than most books and I would definitely have to agree... Thanks soooooooooo much for all of the helpful tips I really appreciate it. You guys are truly AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopeless, How is it going? I finally got my test prep together to prepare to take the exam again... I am finally starting to get more right than wrong and I attribute it to mom2michael advice along with the Saunders strategies which most I knew but the turning point for me was. Do not delay treating the pt. If you dont know the answer pick the answer that can potentially kill the pt!!!!! (THINK SAFETY) Although I knew it it clicked when reading the entry. I am also attempting to use the Suzzane plan. Hey it cant hurt I have taken Kaplan twice and purchased the ncbns.org program twice as well. But what I found to be the problem was i was indated with information. Now I am using Saunders ONLY and Pharmacolgy memory notecards by Mosby.. I am also taking my time to understand why the answer I picked was wrong. I am really determined not to take this exam again. I will surely keep you posted..... I am attempting to take it again MID may

I am in the same boat!!! I am going to keep trying, and you do the same as well. You spent all that time in nursing school to become an RN not a PN. and if you want it bad enough you will. I tend to look at it this way if everyone is passing why cant I? Hence it is quite discouraging that everyone around you is passing it but you. But I am a strong believer that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I look at it this way it really does not matter how many times you take it because once you become an RN no one can take that away from you. In addition, it maybe wise to keep when your taking the test to yourself to lessen the anxiety. REMEMBER everyone knows that it is not an easy test!!!

HELP!! Im struggling to pass the NCLEX!!! Looking for reccommended review courses.
Your not alone I failed it three times and I really do not know what to do? The first time I had 265 questions and the other two I had 75. I really do not know what to do. I took the Kaplan review in class and for some reason it is not working for me..... I am trying kaplan one more time....
