Hi to all members of Allnurses.com! This website gives us a lot of helpful info. Anyways.. all info's is very much welcome. I live here in long island NY.. is there any school here in long island who offers a refresher course? or anyone who knows any one on one tutorial? ive been out of school for about 2 years and now working full time in a clinic.. of course i need a sched that will fit my sched.. like after work and weekends? PLS help me guys to find a better way that will work for me in order to pass the NCLEX RN exam. thank you..
  3. Congratulations! Can you please share with me how did you study? How many months you studied before you take it ? I hope Ill pass mine too...
  4. hi to you and to all whose going to read my post.. im really wondering about gn.. i have my att and it will expire on august. may i know the process how to apply and how much do i need to pay? can i still apply for gn permit at this point? if not, any advice what kind of work i can fit in? btw, i live in long island, ny and im a foreign grad... pls advice... thank you.
  5. Hi to all of you.. Im just wondering how you guys applied for GN? I heard about GN after I graduated (2005, foreign grad) and till now im still struggling to pass the RN boards. I have my ATT and it is valid till Aug.. Am I still allowed to apply for GN? if Im allowed.. may I know the process how to apply and should I look for the hospitals here in NY if theyre accepting GNs?? Please advice me... Thank you!
  6. Hi to you.. If ever i agreed on their condition to pay again to take the class again.. am i going to take SAME questions at the q-bank and question trainer or its TOTALLY a different sets of questions?
  7. congratulations! just wanna know how long did you study for the exam?
  8. Hi to you!I took nclex RN exam for 3 times and failed, no work for a year already. Im thinking the same to take nclex LPN.. but Ill take it after i take the nclex RN for the 4rth time. My advice is have time to go to bookstore near you and look for any review for LPN then try to browse it and think if you can pass it.. on that way youll feel if its for you. Have friends that after they took their nclex-rn exam and failed after a week they took nclex-pn exam and passed. So it depends on us how capable are we to adjust the approach on a specific field.
  9. I dont mind taking the nclex-pn actually but the thing is I dont know the difference of the questions.. or the approach of the questions.. I AM SCARED really. The advantage of taking the nclex-pn is that if i passed i can work as a LPN. Trying to take nclex-rn next month is the ONLY i can do if i didnt take nclex-pn.. i dont have any choice! :o :scrying: :sniff:
  10. Hi there Lester25! I called kaplan to know if i have other option aside from paying less 25% of the amount i paid for nclex-rn complete review.. unfortunately none! then i asked if ill get SAME questions if i purchased the Q bank and Q trainer only.. then the customer service says "YES" also so that means its not worth it for me to pay that much if ill get same questions.
  11. Yup, I find the questions just fine though I havent finish it yet (purchased the 3 weeks rvw). In my opinion i think kaplan questions are more difficult. Im thinking what review Im going to take next after 3 weeks..
  12. In my case, the answer is NO.. they have their reasons why they dont give refund nor free class.. they offered me to pay 50% of the review that i took (nclex-rn complete), i just told them that ill just think about it. If you need more info pls call their 1-800 number and ask them to connect you to a manager who handles refund.
  13. Hi to you pagandeva2000! when my friends advised me to try nclex-pn im actually skeptical about it though i know that in their experiences they actually passed the nclex-pn after a week they knew they are failed in nclex-rn, thats a reason why i signed up here to know all of your opinions about this. Even i want to try nclex-pn im not sure if im going to pass maybe because of low esteem or i dont want to embarrassed myself coz my friends passed it. Do you work while reviewing? Im sure im not alone on this kind of predicament. Im planning to take nclex-rn end of next month.. it depends on how my scores do, im hoping that learningext.com will help me on this. Im open to any review advice that you could give me.. Thank you.
  14. I actually purchased the 3 week review from ncsbn website, i did the diagnostic exam which is i didnt do good! my husband told me to try kaplan again but i dont think im going to spend a lot of money again though i know its really a good one but money is a big deal esp i dont work. I still have my saunders with me and sometimes a just browsed it coz i really forget some infos that really important ( i dont do the questions anymore coz i almost memorize the Q's in the cd and in the book, remember i failed 3 times). Im actually curious about Davis and Springhouse, is Mosby have a difficult Qs? I think practice answering questions is the key though i did more than 4000 Qs already.. I actually thinking to take it again end of may.. and for sure ill take it in a different test center. Keep me posted! Thank you.
  15. Thank you all for giving me strength.. thats what i really need right now. Ill wait for 45 days and ill take the exam again for the 4th time.. Ill try learningext this time. Again, Thank you! Godbless!
