Hi. I'm sorry you are having such a difficult time. I recommend Marlene Hurst's review course.
Here's her website: http://www.hurstreview.com/
Just because you are bad test taker does not mean you will not be a good nurse.
Think about how you are studying and pre-testing yourself....and then change it...because apparently what you're doing now is not working.
Do a search for other nurses who have failed and then succeeded in the test. See what worked for them.
Find a friend/nurse to study with and practice with.
Good luck...in my book, 4th time's the charm!
hi,
this may help you.
"stat nursing consultants is a nurse owned and operated firm which offers a variety of counseling and educational consultation. we specialize in helping nursing students become better test takers and helping nurses who fail the nclex be successful in retaking it." www.statnursing.org
i am taking my boards this friday for the first time. the stat nursing cons. has presented twice during my schooling. i would feel confident contacting them for help should i not pass. best of luck to you.

i live in pennsylvania. i am not worried too much. i can only do the best that i can. i have been doing a ton of practice questions. another good study program is the meds publishing program. i went to the nclex review and it was very helpful. they are mostly an online program that you work at your own pace. they have a very high success rate. if interested the website is www.medspub.com
. don't give up!! good luck!

Anneles - there are a lot of us who know exactly how you feel. I have failed it twice. You need to find a study strategy that works for you. Check out Suzannes plan on here. I purchased the Saunders 4th edition study guide as well as Kaplan. Don't beat yourself up, but most of all don't give up. Some of us just aren't good at taking tests. This test is hard. Keep your chin up and stay positive. :icon_hug:
we're on the same boat kababayan..i graduated last year in the phils and after that i went here in us.i took my nclex exam for the 4th time last wed and i think i failed the exam again.i hope that i passed the nclex pn w/c i took last june 16...its been 5 weeks and 1 day since i took the pn exam.
Hello. I'm new to allnurses.com. I need your help. I feel bad and in doubt if nursing profession is for me.I graduated nursing last 2006 in the Philippines. I came here in the U.S last March 2007. I already took 3 NCLEX-RN exams but sad to say, I failed. The first 2, I only had self review. The third, I took kaplan. Kaplan helped but, still I failed.
I just took my latest exam last June of this year. What should I do? Please encourage and motivate me.

Hi,you know what?the best advice i could you is relax for now and allow at least 2 mos to prepare before taking the test. One thing most important that i could share to you is:since it's your 3rd time already,Never ever hunt for more review materials coz' it'll just confuse you.Stick to 1 book only. The key to passing the NCLEX is not how many reviewers you read, but MASTERY of all your basic concepts. In other words REPETITION!!!Try SUZANNE's PLAN and make use of the SAUNDERS COMPREHENSIVE
GOODLUCK TO YOU!!AND NEVER EVER GIVE UP!!!
Hi, I live in CA and I wanted to know what website tells you if you passed or failed. I have been to the BON, but it doesn't say pass or fail. I understand that if you pass it will give your lic#, but if you didn't, is there a place where it will tell you that you didn't--- after 48 hrs.
