Hello. I'm new to allnurses.com. I need your help. I feel bad and in doubt if nursing profession is for me.
I graduated nursing last 2006 in the Philippines. I came here in the U.S last March 2007. I already took 3 NCLEX-RN exams but sad to say, I failed. The first 2, I only had self review. The third, I took kaplan. Kaplan helped but, still I failed. I just took my latest exam last June of this year. What should I do? Please encourage and motivate me.

stick to one book. and highly recommend suzzanne plan's. but remember you need to read the rationale and better understanding what you read.
plus don't forget to review about isolation precaution. don't give up you can do it again........ kabayan, read the book about prioritization, delegation assignment to get an idea how it works. lastly, don't force yourself to study if you dont felt like studying.

sorry to hear that. don't give up...i too had a lot of difficulty when i took the exam, it takes a lot of effort, perseverance, and determination to achieve what you want... try suzzane's plan, it helped me a lot, also try feuer reveiew, their website is www.fnr.net good luck, don't lose hope, just try again...
i too have failed the nclex rn 3 times... i have taken the kaplan review... and it didnt seem to work... i am now working on the first step of suzannes plan.... and am hoping that the 4th time will be the last... just remember ... you are not alone .. although i know sometimes it feels like you are.... just keep your head up and dont give up... you will pass!!!
Hi all, I am new here and took my NCLEX RN on thursday the 24th and was hoping for a wonderful birthday gift (my BDay was Friday 25th) with news of my passing. Unfortunately during the test, I pretty much knew it was going to be a long shot. I was blown away with the questions..nothing I had expected at all. My drugs were ones that I had never heard of and the stem of the questions gave me NO guidance to figure out the answer. I also had many select all that apply style questions. I sat in that chair with the administrators glaring at me until I answered the last question possible...265!!! I felt as if I had just stepped out of H*ll when I finally finished. Well, it's Monday and still no results. I'm dying here and feel so heartbroken. Although you know many before you have failed the NCLEX, you never want it to be you. I am still holding a very small glimmer of hope that my results are delayed for some reason.
I know the feeling of hopelessness..but don't give up.

don't feel bad. I took the nclex rn twice already and both times i failed. the first time i only had 80 questions and the second time i had 265 questions. the first time, i didn't get a lot of sata but the second time i got a lot of sata which i thought meant that i passed. i am not giving up b/c i know that God can and will help me pass. i'm just studying more and doing more questions now so that i could go and take it for the third and last time. you just have to stay positive and believe that you can do it.
