Antimicrobial stethoscope covers
I have used these since I have had a stethoscope. I think they are great and do not muffle the sound at all. I purchased mine from reddingmedical.com . They are made by SafeSeal. They are one of the best purchases I've made second to the gel earpieces for my stethoscope. Highly recommend them!

rnquiz.com any one use this?
I just purchased it yesterday and have done 2 timed quizzes. Yes there are spelling errors, but haven't really been able to gather an opinion yet. I can say the price is what tempted me.

Learn To Say It Correctly!!
I always get ALLTIMERS!! or OLDTIMERS!! Argggg. THis is very true. I live in the southwest part of Va, bordering Kentucky and Tennessee where the dialect is completely different from many other cities. Luckily it is the "older" generations that still hold on to the language. We say Y'all, Fer, and I absolutely cannot get my Grandmother to stops saying Therpy for Therapy! Also I had two different instructors pronounce ANGINA completely different. One of them emphasized the "I" and the other did not. It drove me crazy!!

Need Help with Assessment!
Thanks for the advice. I felt before the test that I was prepared to answer those type of questions, but soon realized I was mistaken. Hopefully I can figure them out for the next round!! thanks again.

Help Needed From Virginia Rn's!!
We had several LPN to RN "bridgers" in my class and once our 2nd year began, they had to back up and take the Pharm and Assessment classes that we had already took. However, they did not do nearly as many clinical hours as we did. I had an instructor tell me that it is much more beneficial for an LPN to begin straight into the full 2year program because there are a lot of fundamental info that students get in the first year of nursing school that the bridge students miss. Either way good luck.

I'm in shock!
Wow, that does seem a bit over the top. I can understand why they would want to be cautious, but I feel that is an extreme. Like said before it may just be the state that you are in. Good Luck with it all and keep your head up. You can do it.:wink2:

Need Help with Assessment!
Hi all...I recently took the NCLEX and had a lot of who to assess first, who to call back first. I fell as if I struggled on these terribly and battled between two patients usually. This is the strategy I used 1. ABC's 2. F:find hypoxia I: immunocompromised R: real bleed S: safety T: try infection This was an anogram that I learned from one of my firends that took the Sylvia Rayfield course yet I still seemed to struggle. I anyone has a great way to navigate through those questions or can shead some light on my problem...HELP. Thanks in advance.

Took 265 questions, and PASSED!!
Well, I am in the same boat. Took 265 questions and kept praying it would shut off..like my brain had about 100 question ago! WHo to assess first was my majority and it is sooo hard to study a topic like that. I think that may have been my downfall. Oh well...I will try to keep my head up and tackle it again if I have to.

Failed the NCLEX-RN exam the third time
Hi all, I am new here and took my NCLEX RN on thursday the 24th and was hoping for a wonderful birthday gift (my BDay was Friday 25th) with news of my passing. Unfortunately during the test, I pretty much knew it was going to be a long shot. I was blown away with the questions..nothing I had expected at all. My drugs were ones that I had never heard of and the stem of the questions gave me NO guidance to figure out the answer. I also had many select all that apply style questions. I sat in that chair with the administrators glaring at me until I answered the last question possible...265!!! I felt as if I had just stepped out of H*ll when I finally finished. Well, it's Monday and still no results. I'm dying here and feel so heartbroken. Although you know many before you have failed the NCLEX, you never want it to be you. I am still holding a very small glimmer of hope that my results are delayed for some reason. I know the feeling of hopelessness..but don't give up.
