Took 265 questions, and PASSED!!
Hang in there! Sounds like our situations were similar. And if I passed, you probably did, too. That's why I put up this posting, because I had thought with 100% certainty that I failed, but then realized there were other situations just like mine!! If you are in the process of waiting, I know it's awful, but hang in there and I bet you passed!!

I used the Hurst Review, also NCLEX RN 3500, it's on the web for free if you google it. I also used Saunders. I'd say the NCLEX 3500 helped the most, because it's over 3000 questions, and it gives rationales for all of the. Plus there are tests so you can see how you are doing. Did you pass with 265?

Dear EmilysMom Girl, do not think that way. I too thought I failed. I absolutely thought with 100% certainty that I failed. But after reading some of these posts, I had a little bit of hope. Even though I really did not know the answers to the questions. Don't wait to find out, just pay the money and get it over with. You are not a failure even if you didn't pass this time. But believe me, you probably passed. Good luck and I hope you get your results soon

Poll for those who have already taken NCLEX..
1. how many questions did you take on nclex? 265 questions in 4.5 hours!! 2. what study materials did you use? did you take a test review course? i did take the hurt review. i guess it helped, since i did pass. but it only helped in certain aspects. the practice tests they give are useless. it did help a little bit on some of the priority questions. 3. did your son offer any testing (eri, ati, hesi)? our school took a lot of the eri tests, and unfortunately, none of us did very well. 4. how long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting? 3 days. 5. what were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)? i was pretty surethat i had failed. i am still amazed that i passed with 265 questions. 6. was this your first attempt at nclex? yes

Took 265 questions, and PASSED!!
I took one break after 2 hours. After that, I was so high into the numbers, that I didn't take any more breaks because I was hoping it would cut off soon. It never did, and I felt awful that I took all 265 questions, plus I was sooo drained!! Good Luck on your test. If I passed, than anyone can!

Took 265 questions, and PASSED!!
:bowingpurHey guys, I am brand new to posting on this website, but I sure did look it up after I took the NCLEX (June, 2008) with all 265 questions. I was sure I had failed, but after reading some of these forums, I realized that people can actually pass with the entire amount of questions. And I did pass!! I just wanted to give future test takers some hope as well. I guess it is true, that when you walk out of the test, you are going to feel like you failed. I sure did, and I feel as though I guessed at just about all of them, too!! I couldn't beleive it when the test kept going and going. I was so panicked when it got to 200 ,that I could barely think any more. All I can say, is make sure you know which patient to assess first!! I did have a couple of math questions (3) but they weren't that hard. Hang in there and have hope.
